  1. Cheers Rob. Not singling you out. Did the same last night for another member's post. Just that most sales action occurs whilst ads are on front page so a double posting is reducing another's sales opportunity. ROD
  2. Merged this. There is no re-posting of ads allowed within three days. If you need to reduce prices within that time just edit original ad please. As it was you had two similar ads on consecutive days on the front page. This knocks some other member's ad off the page. Thanks ROD [Forum Moderator]
  3. My mondegreen moment "Seven day lover" "My rabbit's out of sight" Just thought he had a really cool pet. ROD
  4. Edited that title as slightly misleading in that nothing is under £20. ROD [Forum Moderator]
  5. Please read Sales guidelines. 2 ads per day. This is the third today from you. To be frank all three 45s could have gone into the one ad. ROD [Forum Moderator]
  6. Merged these two ads. If you look at guidelines limit is 2 per day. Thanks ROD

Just edit original ad please [as I have done for you]. Do not add an extra post. This is "bumping". See the Sales guidelines. Thanks ROD [Forum Moderator]
  8. I think the red Impact issues look a bit tatty so stick with the WDJ. While Im on re Motown bit harder to get esp hits in M- than that discussion suggests. I ain't even got "Dancing in the street" yet ! ROD
  9. Not mine Pete. Belongs to Scal on here. I think they were around at one time but yes don't turn up that often. ROD
  10. I'd say Vg++ . Really nice copy. First offer I like I take. 1500+ hopefully. SOLD 1750

  12. Yep acetate/carver. Must have been '81-ish as I cut it for him from tape with "Suspicion" on other side. ROD
  13. Proving that the soul scene is still a close-knit community. ROD
  14. Seasons greetings to all those members who haven't caused me any grief this year by posting in the wrong section, omitting prices, posting duplicate ads, not utilising feedback facility, failing to send 45s out speedily, not politely responding to wants, bumping sales posts, and completely ignoring my suggested grading system. So that's all the best to both of you. ROD [Just keeping the lid on the Sales Forum Moderator]
  15. You got my sympathy vote. I now realise just how good Ken Goodwin was. ROD
  16. Northern Soul is a genre as Godin pointed out all those years ago. Well that was my understanding at the time and still today. Melodic "uptown" soul music. Northern Soul scene is something different. That has encompassed different styles. It's also led to splits along the way such as Wigan pop or Mecca disco period. Just wondering if we need another to get back to the soul content you mention. ROD
  17. Unfortunately the term "Northern" seems to be associated with a retro scene hence now it's "Rare Soul" for some. Then stuff which is not Northern IMO gets into the playlists and I feel little affinity for it. Realise it is hard to continue with a traditional Northern sound as far as newies are concerned as for the most part they are few and far between. I do think though that those of us who like that particular sound should push that angle rather than allow it to become just one strand amongst many. Time for a new 60's Mafia ? ROD
  18. Or shop at "Tiger Cubs R Us" ROD
  19. Next time just edit your ad to show "SOLD" or "ON HOLD" Do not add extra posts please. This is bumping. See Sales guidelines. Thanks ROD [Forum Moderator]
  20. A lot more interesting than the 45 he is auctioning under that description. ROD
  21. You sure ? I heard it was Masterchef and he'd chosen filet 'o' soul. Tomorrow ? PM. ROD
  22. Exactly Mike. Easiest argument I've ever won ! And yes an obvious Northern double-sider from Gladys could have been made available. So obvious titles escape me. Come to me ! "Pieces of a ." and "If I ever get.." ROD
  23. To be honest I thought idea was to release previously unreleased tracks. Album cuts included would be a low priority for me. Wish I was an expert !! ROD
  24. London Monument is UK original issue, then re-issued on Monument early 70's. Just ask for US SS7 copy. ROD
