News: New Album - Riker Up - Charly Records - Adventures in AI Land
I was really deeply worried when all this AI created music was first mentioned & the name Levine would pop up , remember LJ Johnson , Your Magic Put A Spell On Me , floor packer , especially the Casino of all places , What's it worth now £1. If you're lucky & hopefully that's where this lot will end up , in the charity shop racks

Just how low can some people stoop?
A few years ago my Mother in law used to work for a well known cut price chain in Coventry. She witnessed a youth casually walking around the ailes filling his bag with goods , he had no intention of paying for, and then he casually walked out , pass the security officer & legged it . Gobsmacked she took off after him telling the Security what had happened , The thief/ shoplifter got away & on returning to the store was taken to the office & reprimanded by the manager , for her actions deemed by the company as putting herself in danger ie. the youth could have been carrying a weapon & it wasn't her job to chase after the thief / shoplifter . After that her attitude was help yourself, and she carried on shelf filling until she retired .

News: Geno Washington celebrated in mini exhibition in Ipswich
Back in the early 90s , we went to see him in the musical stage play, " In The Midnight Hour " at The Belgrade Theatre in Coventry & after the show he joined a whole bunch of us for drinks in the bar , I don't think I've ever met such a happier guy with the most infectious laugh in my life , & he was absolutely brilliant live on stage .
- Soul 45s that sold for over £10K

I agree but to be honest I didn't realise until the refund notice was issued , but I have since ordered another from the store not discogs using the halfprice code , & looking at what other outlets had it priced at , I'm very happy .

Only 3k people involved with the claim , they're lucky it's so few, the practice of shaking talcom powder on probably every child's body , since it was invented I'm surprised it not millions of claiments

Thousands sue Johnson & Johnson talcum powder cancer
I'm sure it was used at the Casino if only to dry out the soles of your dancing shoes , after a visit to the toilets , and any venue with a Lino type dance floor .

Robert Plant's "I've Got A Secret"
I said I would ask him , if I bumped into him & whilst out walking Vincent our 6 month old Blue Whippet this evening , who got on rather well with Robert , I asked him how it came about that he sang " I've Got A Secret " etc . He told me that Ed Kassner ( of Ed Kassner Music Ltd. ) had sent his team a One- Derful acetate to listen to & record which he did . He honestly didn't know The Sharpees had previously recorded , the group name wasn't on the Acetate , not one of his favourite songs & admitted he struggled with the key , too high for his range . Just a quick footnote , I did tell Robert why I was asking him , & he gave his blessing for me to update .

Robert Plant's "I've Got A Secret"
Slightly off topic , The Chateau Impney is currently closed & in a sorry state , but plans are afoot for demolishing all of the ugly extensions that have been built over the years , restoring it to it's original beauty & functional rooms , & the building of over 100 new homes on the surrounding grounds , not before time .

Robert Plant's "I've Got A Secret"
Not a clue , but if I bump into him in Mr Tees , Kidderminster I'll ask him . When he stood in on 6 Music DJing ( not sure who for , may have been Craig Charles vacation) his 1st choice was , Vernon Garrett , Shine It On , probably on Stateside demo , which he told us it was probably his all time fave Soul / RnB tune . I know he has a collection of , at last count 1 million albums & 45s combined ( still growing ) & is a big fan & collector of the Ace/ Kent output , so he's never turned his back on his Soul / RnB roots , just choose to go down a different path experimenting with different musical influences & still is .

Ballads in the Barrios: The Story of Lowrider Soul
Ballads in the Barrios: The Story of Lowrider Soul By Andy Thomas Once these ballads find their way into the community, they never leave Amazing to think , that a tune so popular at Allnighters in the UK over the last 50 years or more , Bobby Paris - Night Owl , was originally a Lowrider tune , topping a list of 790 tunes by Tony Allen & the Champs , Nite Owl , back in 1955 , according to the " Old Barrio Guide to Low Rider Music " Whilst reading the topic you can press the play option & listen to some of the wonderful tunes & feel the vibe , possibly the origins of Soul music... possibly. Restriction on Artists 'set'.
It was 2002 , she came I'm told directly from the Paris Jazz festival & had obviously brought that performance not a Northern Soul set , very sad to witness as the audience wasn't expecting what they heard and soon let her know , very upsetting actually.
