Half way through this excellent box set , and noticed that the box set no. If my theory is correct, is on every individual 45 , if so that's a hell of a lot of planning and great idea . So many great tunes too ! Cheers to Ady & The Team

Believing that Soul music ignored by the mainstream ,released for the first time, could be this good in 2022 , let's hope there's more in 2023, Heres a toast to all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to get these tunes released, Cheers to you all .

No apology needed Benji, I was trying to understand why do these foreign dealers purchase these limited releases , is it to make a profit when the demand rises and become scarce back in the UK or to feed the demand in their country , as it seems to be the norm that a quite a lot end up coming back to the UK , no prejudice intended or meant just an observation. As for the 17.99. euro, picture sleeve , that the original sells for over £50. now in the UK , that turned out to be the cheaper red vinyl with no picture sleeve, re-release , via discogs but sold as Ist release and described as so , so now have 2 red ones if anybody looking for a copy , I did think it was to good too be true and looking at the sales history, so did a few others .

I didn't say that, I said a UK release going abroad only to be purchased and sent back to the UK which is what the original poster was eluding too .

Very , very true , look what happened back in the 90s , every Wednesday I look at the JM auction results and think if only ,,,

Just a thought, are the records purchased wholesale by overseas dealers aimed at expanding the interest in the music in that part of the world , wherever that is , or for a profit ? Or for feeding the already converted in those countries ? Most new sounds have a very limited press , say 300 copies maybe 500 , so can someone please explain why this situation keeps on happening , surely these foreign dealers know their market . I recently purchased a very popular tune with picture sleeve , sold out months ago in the UK , repressed in red , original sells for £50 + but original copy only 17.99 euros plus tax and postage still reasonable, so why sell them to overseas dealers in the first place if limited and the market surely is the UK or am I overthinking it .

As a collector of soul music , I probably purchase up to 10 items pr week be it cd or vinyl . If I like the tune buy it , If I like the album or cd buy it , Vinyl 45s have loads but always on the look out for more ,, Just wish this bloody postal strike would get sorted out so things can get back to normal,,,,

Maybe he's getting better at it , lots of drum rolls etc , just a thought, a bit of everything even a little "Heartache Avenue " no , try a bottle of Montepulciano D'Abruzzo , it sounds very near lol

One on J.M. site , very rare UK format , £30. (raresoulman etc) Surprised would have thought a few quid more , but then again can't possibly be the only copy , nice though hate pronged centre's, too easily damaged or missing .

If I'm not mistaken, also featured on the B side of the Rictic Revue album with a version of " The Way You've Been Acting Lately " also by Tina Lewis , Inferno 12 Burn 3B , if anyone wants to give it a spin . And I guess the b side to Back Street on a 7" ,

Hi Guy &Tony great show , very laid back atmosphere, just an idea , how about a Northern Soul beer Festival, bum dancing and new beers plus soul ,,, heaven ,, Bye the way Frank Foster even worked with Frank Sinatra ,, possibly with an ansemble of some sorts but he was around for years ,, Love the show , and the mix works so well should be mainstream ,,,are you listening BBC 6 Music , if not should be ,

Just heard the Al Kent mix on the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show , last tune , sounds earlier more funkier and not so disco etc , possibly 79 ? The recent mix still unsure
