  1. Yes, agreed they should have checked more closely, but I meant that if you see something that you know has never been reissued, it could fool you. In my case I did look closely, but only as an afterthought. I see the Procedures record did say reissue in the title so the bidders should have paid more attention. I don't think Aggregation title said reissue, just in the description. Mick
  2. If HHV (or HVV?) get them in, at least there will be no customs to worry about. The're in Germany and seem to have all the previous Numero Uno stuff - I had the Boddie and Syl Johnson boxes from them last year.
  3. I think the problem may be is that the bidders didn't realise it was a reissue. I've been looking for Aggregation for a while - nothing - then two appear. The first one was a cheap start as about $11, but went for more than I bidded (It was an original). No problems, there's always the second copy in a day or two. So, a day or so later I was ready to pounce on this second one, still at the opening price of $5, and noticed almost at the last minute that it was a Numero reissue. The labels are very close to the originals, and as they had never been seen before, I very nearly fell into the trap. It could be a similar case with the $490 disc. Cheers Mick
  4. Hope someone can help me with this. I'm having scanner problems at the moment, and need a reasonably high quality scan (close to 300dpi or even better) of a typical US Black RCA 45. Doesn't matter what record, as long as it's in the style of L Chandler / Metros / L Greene / D Courtney etc etc. with the logo on the side, and not at the top. Around the late 47-8900's through to 47-9300 should do. Any help would be greatly appreciated - either post here, PM me, or even a link to something on the net would be great. Cheers Mick
  5. It could be the opposite. You got a result BECAUSE ebay/Paypal/Player ar all linked - As it was an "in-house" problem, the coughed up.
  6. Ah, I see it now. I didn't realise there were more than 5 photos. It's clear to see on photo 9. Looks like this Cody Black sleeve got reused for Don & Joe, much like we do with our record covers. Cheers Mick
  7. Nice, but where did you get Cody Black from ? I only see Don & Joe - unless it's in the writiing on the sleeves, (I can't zoom in any more than the bit chown on the listing) Cheers Mick
  8. Well if it was, it was, although most of the Knight stuff including this was well known by about '82/'83. I suppose it could have been an early Stafford record, in the days of Chris King / Terry Samson, and it could possibly have been unknown in that period. Certainly not by the accepted "Stafford" period of Dave T etc. Whatever the time period,God knows why anyone would consider it playable, even if it was unknown. Cheers Mick
  9. I'm obviously wrong, but I can't believe anyone would have "Covered Up" Traci Borges ?? I know the "Slightly" better version by the Soul Blenders was, albeit this was due to it being the flip to Tightrope. Cheers Mick
  10. I added a bit a few minutes after, saying that although it's labeled Mono both sides, you may have a real Mono / Stereo with wrong label on it. I haven't a demo to hand, but I do remember that the Mono and Stereo versions do sound different.
  11. If it's Mono / Mono, then it's a boot. It should be Stereo / Mono for Demo, or brown label for issue. (Although your markings may suggest a real Mono / Stereo with wrong label on it) Cheers Mick
  12. I've never paid a fee as I always transfer over £50 at any time, but it looks like they must have scrapped the fee and therefore scrapped minimum transfer amount. This is probably connected to Paypal now doing instant transfers to UK Bank Accounts. Before, you had to wait 3 or 4 days for it to be in your account. (this is with unconfirmed bank accounts, it might well have been instant transfer for confirmed bank accounts for a long time, I don't know). Good to know. I never had any correspondence from them about this, would have thought they'd have shouted it all over the place. I would. Cheers Mick
  13. Has anyone ever seen a stamp where the last word is readable? - Always seems to fade out after "Nashville Ma..." - I once read that the word was actually "Nashville Mains", although I don't know if there was anything in that. Cheers Mick
  14. When I get this (which is very, very occasionally), I have gotten between £25 (bit worn, no cover), through to £50 (M- with cover) - last one was about 4 years ago. Hope this helps. Cheers Mick
  15. I sold a M- copy in with a deal - got about £450 / £500 - This was in July 2009
  16. Thanks Paul, that looks great. What are the other two tracks. Cheers Mick
  17. It's on the YouTube page .... www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2UHmlkPAEk ... Just uploaders comments really. The video does show a bit more detail of the label, although you may go blind if you try to read the track listing. Cant see a list number there, but it's so bluury, i could be wrong. Cheers Mick
  18. No, not seen that. From the YouTube picture It looks like a later press, 70's or even later - Might have been a sampler for a "Best Of" type LP. Was it on a later LP than Sophisticated Soul?
  19. That's it Kev - thought it odd as Polydor/Philips used either 3 prong middles, or, by this period, large middles. Having said that, theres quite a few copies of this record with solid middles too - So that's 4 variations on the mojo release, including the master number variant (at least). Cheers Mick
  20. Mojo must have put it out twice, first time with the 584200 Atlantic plate, and then they remastered it on the 2092-001. I've only ever seen the 2092-001 Mojo, and the 584200 Polydor, but looks like there are copies of 584200 Mojo out there too (Jim G has 2 and the original poster Jerry has one). As a matter of interest, do these 584200 Mojo presses have a 4 pronged middle (like the Irish Polydor). I saw a 4 pronged Mojo recently, thought "that's unusual", but never picked it up - I wonder if this is the 584200 Mojo release. Interesting stuff, as others have said. Cheers Mick
  21. The LP is by Mike Morton Congregation.
  22. Johnny Caswell "IOU", is clearly speeded up (on Decca), to the point where it sounds like a completely different artist to "You Don't Love Me Anymore". If you slow down "IOU" to about 42 RPM, then it sounds about right, and vocally right in line with the flip. The first boots of Frank Wilson on IN were also speeded up.
  23. It's not the first time John has had one of these, although it may well be the same copy coming round again.
  24. This is the one I had for a dozen or more years, sold it a couple of years back, maybe three. I offered it for sale on here at the time, but no one seemed interested. Cheers Mick
