  1. Yes Chalky, I have the Fros Ray (flesh coloured label) 45. Flip is a nice ballad though, but obviously not as good as 'Can't No One Man'! Still quoted as the same price as Invincibles in Manship's, maybe because the Soul Gents is the first???
  2. There's also the 'Soul Gents' on Fros Ray....about the same price. This is the same group I believe.
  3. There's so much to be covered, obviously it all depends if he has specific 45's in mind. Otherwise the only source that's documented regarding most of the Northern Soul 45s is to get a copy of John Manships 'Bootleg' guide (about £8)...or (more expensive) J.M's new Northern Soul Price Guide 2009 edition that incorporates the bootleg guide also. If he has specific 45's in mind, then post them up on here where he will get good help sorting out the originals from the bootlegs.
  4. Worth a punt of the more recent releases is Johnny Sayles 'I Can't Get Enough Of Your Love' for the previously unreleased gem 'Tell Me Where I Stand' on the flip!
  5. Hi, I have e-mailed you. I have a lot of photos from that period. I was a Suedehead and my brother was a fully fledged Mod. A lot of the photos are in my file hosting page, I send you the address via e-mail. John
  6. £1,500 !!! but it's not just records, also includes vintage Action Man, comics and stuff for the daughters (they paid) i.e festival tickets, also some stuff for my old man. Still a lot though when you think about it!
  7. ..oh, turns out we're aint going out just yet. Just dug it out, it's ex. I'll pm you ok
  8. Hi, I have a Joe Hicks vinyl original. 'Soul Meetin' on the flip. I'll dig it out later and let you know condition if you're still interested. Going out now, be back later after the Spurs/Liverpool game. Cheers, John
  9. Better late than never eh Ken? LOL!
  10. Agree with Ken, worth having. Proper UK release at a fraction of the price. Great sound quality too.
  11. With pleasure Ady....
  12. How do I find Andy's list?
  13. Well I like it, anyone got one for sale?
  14. Also done by ?(Question Mark) & The Mysterians.....among others.
  15. Stardust released Kenny Carter's previously unreleased 'What's That On Your Finger'. I bought one as it's the only way to get it on vinyl and was told they are legit???? I'm really surprised Kent didn't release it on a 45 as they have the rights to the RCA stuff anyway???
  16. This thread gives me a chance to ask..... is there a RCA (Rare And Collectable) volume 3 anytime soon or have I passed this CD by somehow?
  17. I have an almost MINT copy of Carl Holmes 'Dance No.3' on Black Jack. Got it from a Soul Bowl pack many years ago. Problem is it jumps about 3rd of the way through the track!!! I just can't understand why? there is absolutely NO mark or anything on the vinyl and as I said, it's almost MINT! ('almost' 'cos I've had it so long!). I've cleaned and cleaned it but it won't stop! It's just one little jump....bastard! Is this a pressing fault? Are they all like this?
  18. PM'd you regarding Philharmonics.
  19. I got a Motown 45 from the States.....sellotaped onto a piece of cardboard...right across the label!!!!! OUCH!

    PM'd you.
  21. ...maybe going to get a bit more than normal due to recent events methinks. I always thought that particular tune was on 'Steeltown' as was 'You've Changed'.....no?
  22. I reckon £20 without sleeve........., £40 upwards with. Got my little beauty with sleeve for £7 on ebay a couple of years back from Germany, seller had it listed as 'easy listening' !!!!
  23. Definitely 2 of the best! Also Persionettes 'Call On Me / It Happens Everday' (Strata)....as recently discussed

I'm going with the 'I'll Never Forget You' crowd. Best album for me is their 1960's second album 'Soul Sounds' on Minit.
