I quite like it. But I am a sucker for blue-eyed soul/garage outfits. Sounds late 60's possibly early 70's to these ears. Definitely could be played at a Northern venue.

Presume we are talkng about the same record by Lorretta Williams on Jotis?? I didn't even know there were any more versions??

Agree with you there mate...100%!!! When I first heard (early 80's) I thought it was gonna be an expensive tune, image how pleasantly surprised I was when I got one for a fiver!!

Gotta be £50 tops for a mint US... I think the UK release is harder to get.

The first release was mis-titled. Should have been titled 'Kiss' but somehow they messed up. The Velvets E.P has the title right. Hey Diddy, I never knew the Fantastic Four l.p version of 'Godess Of Love' was different...I'll have to dig it out and give it a spin.

Is it a soul cut? I got one on Pama UK by him....'I'm An Outcast'...pretty good soul tune.

If no luck, I have a UK demo I'll part with.

Have you heard his 'My Eyes Break Out In Tears' on Fontana?, nice atmospheric dancer! The one you mention was also done by 'Northern Soul Inc.' (or something like that) in the 70's.

I think this organisation is growing up and working out who/which of it's customers actually really matter , and maybe , maybe is begining to getting it sorted? [ no , I'm not a shareholder! ] pete
