  2. Philt commented on Jumpinjoan's event in Soul Nights

Quite a few have said they're coming down to what I'm led to believe is an intimate, tucked away little venue. Music should be a good mix too. Looking forward to it 👍
  3. The following records are for sale, all strictly graded and not things you tend to see everyday. Frankford Wayne acetate - prove yourself a lady (instrumental) vg++ Buster and James - count the tears (Cee-Jam) M- £600 Stafford biggie which you never see for sale. Never been through Discogs and a really lovely copy. Katie Briggs - last time around (MOS-RAY) vg++ £1000 Another record you very rarely see for sale. It's not a fantastic pressing per se but this one is about as good as you'll see / hear. Proper tackle! Pics on request (via PM) Payment via Paypal f&f or transfer. UK postage at cost No hassle money back if you're in any way unhappy (check my feedback if you haven't dealt with me before) UK sales only. Cheers Phil
  4. Expect unissued tackle, quality 'cheapies', rarities, thinking people's oldies, a smattering of high class crossover and, it should really go without saying, homage to beautiful, wonderful, extraordinary, unsurpassable Motown
  5. Just when it looked as though we'd fallen into the same old rare / expensive records schtick that bores the sh*t out of everyone ...
  6. Goes nicely alongside this little ditty ...
  7. Still love this and it might get an airing at some stage on Saturday
  8. Love to hear the flip too Baz. Unadulterated Detroit filth!
  9. 100% Joan! Kev all the way and everyone will want to pay their own tributes to a really special bloke for sure. I can picture him dancing to this so it'll definitely be coming along for the ride ...
  10. A very recent JM auction item and an old Keb (I think) c/u .Joan's been playing top quality records for approaching forty years but never blows her own trumpet, so I will.
  11. Might blow the dust of this while I'm at it
  12. Love a rare record n all that but ... ... the late, great Jim Wensiora's 'Sapphires'
  13. Carl might have this little ditty with him
  14. No probs Si👍 I rarely leave home without it. As my Grandad used to say: spectacles, testicles, wallet and The Prophets
  15. We try hard to get guests with great records but who you tend not to hear much in the NW. As Joan says then, we're dead chuffed to have lured the legendary George Sharp back behind the decks. George has been a rock solid supporter of GS from the get go; more importantly, he is one of the people whose playlists had a real impact and influence on us all those years ago. Promises to be another really good night and it's a bank holiday too of course 👍
