Simultaneous (well within weeks) releases either side of the Atlantic was well recieved by northern fans in 1973 most of us had UK copies, but because it was easily available i got mine from the local Redifusion shop it never took off..........until later. I bought the album as a new release from Silly Billy's in Liverpool along with Gil Scott Heron's Winter In America, (the first OVO play of The Bottle)

  10. You can't beat Blue Note albums for art. There are coffee table books dedicated to it , Give me a Reid Miles photograph or an Andy Warhol sketch anyday
  11. Awesome it is there's no denying that but does any one else feel its a bit soul less to buy it all at once, Sometimes the thrill of the hunt adds a greater appreciation of the vinyl.

  18. Jumped in the car yesterday about midday radio/cd player came on automatically.....Otis Clay The Only Way is Up , came on, funny didn't think I'd left a cd in, looked at the display RADIO 2!!!! Graham Norton was playing it and back anounced it as the preferable original to Yazz's version!!!!!!!
