Sad news just received that my friend Emmanuel has passed. One of the truly good guys and one hell of a voice. His Thelma recordings rank of some of the finest performances ever, as well as his other material for a variety of labels.His gentle manner and personal warmth will be long remembered and greatly missed.

Very sorry to have to report the sudden death of Paul Walker, better known to everyone as Crispie. Originally from Wolverhampton, well known in the Midlands and especially in the Devon / Cornwall areas where he lived for almost 20 years, Paul was found dead this morning by his father. Cause of death unknown but it's more than likely he had an epileptic fit.
He was only 45.

Well known and respected Dj and soul fan Nige Shaw sadly passed away last Thursday 15th June 2006
Nige was a member of Soul Source and while have posted a personal message in the forum thread would like to pass on deepest condolences to all his family and friends on behalf of all involved with the site.
The funeral will be held at Stafford Crematorium on Tuesday 27th June. Further details to be confirmed.

Just have had word that Dave McCadden passed away on Sunday Night in hospital in Manchester, two years after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Dave was respected and well known on the soul side of things for his various writings and the fanzines that he run over the years. Philly soul singer/songwriter Gene Mcfadden has died at his Philadelphia home from cancer he was 56.

LOS ANGELES -- Lou Rawls, the Grammy Award-winning singer whose velvety baritone was one of the most recognizable voices in pop music on hits such as "Love Is a Hurtin' Thing," "Lady Love" and "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine," died Friday. He was 70.

It is with sadness that we let you know that we received a call from Christine Ullah (John's wife) this morning to advise us that John had passed away in the early hours of the morning, today 5th January 2006.
Known for his love of rare 60's soul, John was known by many as the 60's Soul Bandito or the Mad Mexican.
Having DJ'd throughout Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, and being a Wilton Ballroom regular he will be sadly missed by many.
