Found this in my records the other day, have no idea when or why I bought it

Daddy Do It Good by Jim Faulkner on Para West from Paramount, Ca.

Have you ever heard anything so rubbish...the backing band are competent but the singer and the engineer/mixer must have been stoned

Right up Pete-S's street

Will send a tenner to anyone who can post up anything worse*

*has to be IMO which gives me a get-out!

Truly the worst record I have ever heard is a sort of concept album called John Gavanti. It's nothing whatsoever to do with soul but since most of the ones above aren't either I thought I'd share my s

  • I bought it in 1965, when it was out, in a thrift store for 10¢.  Little did I know that it was a "vanity, private press record", like Dora Hall's.  This guy kept "singing" and getting his records pre

Why am I even looking it up After The most crushing review I’ve ever seen I think😀😀😀😀

Worste so called soul record I’ve ever heard, and there’s been one or two, has to be Wombat I would smash every single copy of that into the ground with a hammer.

Goos because it’s rare. No thank you.

Also a few deep sounds from the 80s as well which have you full of excitement when you first play them thinking you have a drop and then slap you round the face with ill advice and misfortune.

I think you're being a bit harsh on Roy. Is that record in my Top 50 favorite Roy Hamilton songs? - No.

On the other hand, 1) At least Roy can sing 2) He's got competent musicians backing him up 3) He does

not sound like he's on an acid trip.

Well put it this way...

If that's a floor filler in Blackpool, I wont be going anytime soon.

The other 49 Roy Hamilton tunes must all be better...i hope, or the panic is on.

Fair enough, I'd call it rock and roll but I bet the ted's would lynch me.  I think it's awful in another way, what a waste of his amazing voice on such an inspid, wishy washy pop tune.
