November 9, 200915 yr it has small centre hole which indicates uk and unrelated b side so i would guess that its not an original but only my view
November 9, 200915 yr its a proper acetate allright just not a legitimate one LIKE AN EMI DISC..ITS A DUB, FAKE , RIP OFF ,BOOT ,JUNK WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT APART FROM REAL ABOUT AS ORIGINAL AS THE MONALISA I HAVE HANGING IN MY SHITTER . GASHER
November 9, 200915 yr Think it's probably one done in the 70s, and as others have said a UK job. Probably for a "DeeJay"
November 9, 200915 yr just lookin on e bay and found this, is it a proper acetate or what https://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item33574512d0 Just an ordinary Emidisc type thingy-me-bob with Sam Ambrose - They'll Be Coming (Crazy Horse) on the flip. Both big around the same time summat like 1976ish Edited November 9, 200915 yr by Dave Turner
November 9, 200915 yr Just out of curiosity! The acetate from a few months back that was original but parts of the laquer missing! If the person who bought it had the acetate re-laquered and the Mel britt regrooved into it would it be still an original say like an antique but listed as a damaged repaired.?
November 9, 200915 yr Like everyone above says - you chose 2 tracks from a list of titles, paid a fiver, a week later your disc was ready, this particular one is worthless
November 9, 200915 yr A recent find that was part of a 60's DJ collection is this acetate 45. It has no labels but after some investigation it turned out to be the MEL BRITT monster rare USA northern soul 'FIP' A-side "She'll Come Running Back". Part of a 60's DJ collection- do you think so? Same as above post says Sam Ambrose on flip would indicate a more recent copy of 2 sides. can't imagine those two sides ending up together any other way. Deceiving description I think.

November 9, 200915 yr it has small centre hole which indicates uk This rule-of-thumb does not indicate a UK press at all. There are plenty of original US acetates that have a small hole. This example is a scene-made dub as others have already pointed out...and nothing to plan a retirement around! -ps I have an original Sammy Ambrose on Crazy Horse for sale, if anyone fancies it?! GASHER ,it was the 2.27 instru b side that gave it away.
November 9, 200915 yr just out of interest how many others amongst you wrote to this seller telling him/her what it actually was? or is it just me that does stuff like that?
November 9, 200915 yr The real one that went through ebay about eighteen months ago was a thing of great beauty although, as Ernie says above, practically unplayable through missing a great deal of its surface lacquer. A valuable piece of soul music memorabilia I would have thought.
November 9, 200915 yr Author so the seller is basically trying to have some poor unsuspecting punter over for £200 then

November 9, 200915 yr nice bit of soul history, what would that be worth can't remember but don't think it was a great deal that it sold for. no sign of it on popsike or collectors frenzy.
November 9, 200915 yr just out of interest how many others amongst you wrote to this seller telling him/her what it actually was? or is it just me that does stuff like that? I did, soon as I saw it

November 9, 200915 yr this is the one that went through ebay some months ago....universal acetate So Will anyone answer my question or do I just ask stupid questions? I repeat- If the owner of the above removed the laquer - had it replaced then had The tracks re-grooved in would it pass as an "original - Damaged repaired / restored" (Say like fine art) I'm Waiting

But if you obtained them kind of discs in this day and age i'm sure a few on this board would slate you. take care
