Extremely rare vinyl 45

https://cgi.ebay.com/...=item27ae5631a4

I saw that posted before but I can't remember if it was on Soul Source or another forum. Maybe Pete S posted it here? Anyway it got me thinking. I wonder what a similar rarity in my own collection would fetch....

There's the Alvin Cash - The Charge on Mar-V-Lus that plays the Admirations - Heaven Is In Your Arms

And of course the Eddie Daye & The Four Bars - Guess Who Loves You on Shrine where the B Side actually plays The Cairos - Stop Overlooking Me.

I have it for sale for any reasonable offer. PM if intersted.

That's interesting Bob as I once bought a Johnny K on Buddah and that played something completly different. Maybe they had some joker working for them at the time who thought it might be highly amusing.

I used to have a copy of the Delacardos 'Shes the one I love' on Atlantic that actually played Ad Libs 'Think of me'.

Had a Jay & The Americans "Livin' Above Your Head" that played a country song on both sides.

Also, I have had the mis-pressed Alvin Cash 45, now that's a pleasant surprise...

This quote...

What we have here simply couldn't have happened - but it did.

hmmm... a Lulu record with the wrong label, or an Aston Martin

a Lulu record with the wrong label, or an Aston Martin....

hang on, I'll get there in a minute....

just incredible

I have a copy of the Del Larks 'Job Opening' that sounds good

I have one of these but sadly its miss pressed and plays the Mellow Souls we can make it. :sleep3:

Surely the ultimate rarity for the lunatic hardcore fringe of Manfred Mann or Lulu collectors.

I predict a bidding frenzy.whistling

That reminds me I have a copy of the Adorables on Golden World - "Ooh boy" / "Devil in his eyes" which plays the Four Tops - "Ain't that love" / "Lonely summer"

Which was a 1965 Columbia re-issue of a 1960 release.whistling.gif

It took years to work out what it really was as it doesn't sound like the Four Tops as we know them!

[Dave Flynn finally traced it via the matrix no ZSP 110951 / 2]

Maybe this could be the start of a new form of collecting?shhh.gif

Did'n't know that, a record I've been after for a while!thumbsup.gif

Well, I suppose it's got a bit more substance than a mis-titled download from iTunes hasn't itbiggrin.gif

Probably mate!

In years to come though, perhaps somebody will write a Guide on all the Spelling peculiarities and various Bitrates... and music fans collectors will get all lathered up over its contents as if something mystical happened in the production of the various files and formats (mmmm I've got this on a WAV.... I wonder, did it come out on MP3 first?:D)

When all along it was just some YTS not paying attention!

i have a copy of 'opportunity' by the jewels that actually plays 'make it with the magilla' by little eva (tie in with the magilla gorilla cartoon)!
