Hi Nick, can you name the lads on this photo.?

It was took at the Ritz early 80s, I think they are all from the Skipton area.

Cheeky monkey - Dave

Gobbler, (aka Adrian Smith), behind is Garry Sowerbutts (SID) wearing glasses, Dino Reardon, Kerry Weatherall, Tony Binns with his hands on my shoulders or someone else's and Tim Newbould. Either 1979 or 1982 or even a little later.

Hope that helps.

I remember Edwin Starr, Lou Ragland was there, the female I think was Pat Lewis.

Apart from them I have forgot as well.

I have some more photos, but most of them are people there and not the acts.

I know where your coming from with that, cause very few took to live acts. You either embraced em' or not '. Not very fashionable during this period, were they - the live acts. Chris King Promotions etc, etc.

Eddie Parker, Denise and Lorraine Chandler ring any bells or was that later.......................................but hey ho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nick.

Indeed yes it was later,(Parker / Chandler) having just read Mick Howard's Halcyon Days Of Stafford thread.

I went to the Ric Tic revue at Hinckley I think in 82 - seems too much of a coincidence though with Lou Ragland added on, but wasn't Al Kent in the line up too along with Edwin and Pat Lewis? I'm presuming it must have been the same line up at the Ritz.

I also bought a bundle of 45's that day, and went to get autographs for some of the singles (imagine i bought Al Kent or Edwin Starr ?) and got fed up of cueing so didn't bother, always regret that decision.

post-5897-027840700 1284930911_thumb.jpgI went to Hinkley on the Friday, but as my ex from then worked saturdays in retail i also did the Ritz.

We had a lift with Mick Holdsworth, Jennifer, myself Crispi, and Ian (Ric-Tic) Popple, now theres a name from time, and with Ian it was quite a "messy" outing.

However he did manage to get my "Please let me in" wdj signed by JJ, and Edwins on anothrer, cant recall which??.

If i remember they had sorted out the sound probs, as on the Fri. Al Kents piano was not heard at all, never could work out the Lou Ragland thing but he was good

Harpo

My wife now, Sandi won the Ric-Tic jacket in the raffle at Hinkley, all i can say is if we had been together at the time, it would not have made the home journey, however she did keep it and sold it many years later, when the need arose pic shows Elaine from Kiddi in the coat thingy.

Yes - Rockie did have a very high level of "musical acceptance", back then amoung us................thanks to Tim Newbould tipping us off - onto his first released offerings. Umm.....Porno Hawkins, would I be correct . Paddy remember the solo partnered wheel-barrow racing @ the cricket club biggrin.gif .

Mrs Andrea "Kay" Harrison is looking well as ever, socially enjoying the last November Boomerang session at Thorne, great to be amoung real friends past and new  .

Keep in touch Patrick,

Kind regards,

The Harrison's.
