Hi

Don't wanna cause a stampede ,nor do i wanna shoot myself in the foot here ..

but as this is obviously an opportunity to bag myself a box full of dance floor winners and elevate myself to mega dj stardom. :)

Can anyone give me a quick valuation on this lot :g:

You are being a bit harsh here although £80 to £150 might be a realistic starting price for the auction.

Nev i would'nt get too excited over this lot as although there are some nice old classics in there. I dont think that you would make any sort of profit from selling these on,especially if you bid the asking price of £800 :( :( :( :(

There are some bootleg labels that I'd forgotten had ever existed in that lot. Doesn't matter whose they are, it's essentially a crock.

on a serious note.....the showstoppers on partytime is nice but the rest are £2 max each...if this guy has any real sense he would let them go for £150

if this guy started at a reasonable price i imagine he'd do not so bad, with the way people seem to be buy bootlegs online, maybe the coffee was a bit strong!

if he started the bidding at say £200 and still had the ludicrous buy it now he may just sell them. i dont think anybody of sound mind would pay £800 tho

thanks for your input , basically i have just moved house and theses have been in the loft for years - i did ask a couple of dealers for their opinions and the records ranged from a £5.00 to £50.00 each retail , when i totted this up it did indeed come to over the grand mark , i never really got into the heavey side of collecting , when we were kids we just used to buy what we heard at the allnighters and did not really care what the label was or other things like that - i have had a look on the manship website and his prices seemed to back this up hense the listing - however you are the second avid collector who has said the same thing about this lot and as they are for sale (dont even have a turntable now lol )i have reduced the price - i under stand that they may not be "golddust" but surely they still have have a decent value as a collecion as im sure even if they are reissues or boots (what is a boot?)some of them must still be pretty hard to find after all these years - thanks karl
