hi folks,seen this for sale many times described as on the gold label(voice) ,im sure its been done on here a few times but i car remember,if done before please point me in the right direction please,is there another colour lable ? slightly different version/mix on other colour/label ? why state gold label ? Original 1st issue is green , Second legit reissue is gold, and there a gold boot done a couple of years ago i belive

Two brilliant sides. The legit gold reissue has a 'nashville' stamp in the deadwax. Expect to pay about £60.

in popsike there are a lot of green copies. I haven't seen one for a while though and popsike reflects this.

I don't have either one Dave, and I'm all for OVO if I DJ anywhere, and as a punter at any 'serious' nights I go to.

I just got the impression that it was OK to play the gold one as it was a legit reissue and now went for over £50, but as I said, I don't have a copy at all, so not a problem I have to deal with personally.

nearly $1000 dollars and it looks danced on....copies have gone for over £2000 on ebay. it seems to always fetch more for a clean copy on ebay than when JM auctions it which he has twice as i remember

it certainly did joan. john may have been a little dissapointed with the end auction result. if there was a 3rd party involved if it were me i would be pissed. i rate it at £1200 and i think its been held back by these gold represses just my opinion of course which dont mean shit

10 copies is a lot of copies to be on popsike. you won't find 10 copies of most low 3-figure records. obviously it's very rare now and hasn't come up for sale in a while, but I think it's more a combination of the sound and partial rarity that is driving up the price.

I think it does make a difference in the price (for example, if you license a record it will cost you more to make it and then sell it than a straight bootleg). Either way 40-60 pounds is too high for a reissue.

I assume you were not talking about what I said right now and that you mean the "Original" as some sort of special object that cannot be replaced by any copy.

Boot? Thought that a time issue on the last press from Nashville pressing plant- played as Timothy Wilson sort of proved it was a re-issue. Dunno.

Bit of good news story for me really, I bought my first copy from Rob Marriott at Allanton for £250...sold it about 8 years ago for £1000 and regretted it straight away....so was delighted when one came up on JMs auction....doubly delighted at the price of £780....so effectively this copy only cost me £30, in a round about collectors thinking type of way....happy days....it's a sparkler of a copy too.

The only thing being that the one I bought off Rob still had the original Sellotape marks on the vinyl from when it was covered up, so who ever has that copy has one of the first copys to be played out on the scene.
