:hatsoff2:HI ALL ...Half the year has gone by, and that means there has been loads of great records, that you have posted in the SOULSOURCE RECORD OF THE DAY,

Just a quick reminder of the rules:-

1, it was intended that any record posted, was from out of your box, and you found it,as a must DJ record,

but you feel it would be more suitable for the SOULSOURCE IN-CROWD,

2.IF POSSIBLE JUST GIVE A TICK IN THE LIKE BOX, RATHER THAN WRITEING GREAT CHUNE, & DOWNLOADING THE RECORD, AS IT P**SES THE MODERATORS OFF?

3, PLEASE ADD AS MUCH INFO WHEN POSTING, INCLUDING A GUESTAMOUNT PRICE & RAREITY.

4. IF YOU LIKE THE SOUND, OR HAVE MORE INFO, PLEASE ADD TO THE THREAD.

5. MAY i THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL THE GREAT RECORDS POSTED, ECLICTIC IS COOL!

My pick to start us of, is the A side of the record I picked yesterday, DONNIE ELBERT - GET READY - CBS.

VALUE £10 ISSUE, DEMO £30 TODAY, A great double cider and cheap to boot, enjoy the summer

AS ALWAYS  DAVE K

Reasons to survive - Rance Allen Group.

Paid about £20 a few years back. Not best condition copy either, so not sure what it's really worth. Great tune anyway!

:hatsoff2: HI ALL Here's a hood one, that I use to sell in the mid 80s for £5 & it;s never got to be as popular as most of the other stuff like rules Gil BRANDING-READY ,I FOUND A HOODIE BILLY HAMBRIC- DRUM both were £5  to-days tune is from 64 "TIME" BILLY HAMBER - DE JAC RECORDS 1254A was the side that was played at STAFFORD, but it is the B side, that I have been playing out of my box 10 x in the last 24 hours, it/s got me hooked and it could be the right time to buy as it is cheap "SHOW ME YOUR MONKEY" IS MY CHUNE FOR TO-DAY, ENJOY  DAVE

Nice bit of group soul Hunt's Determination - She's On My Mind on (Earwax) gets better and better this one IMHO and well worth a £5

Well, not yer 'going out' type tune, but just something I never tire of, from a man with a great voice.......

Dennis Edwards - "Don't Look Any Further"

Really reminds me of the the time it was released, and a few nights in a candlelit room......... :shhh:

One of those records that a lot of people seem to dislike for some reason, I've always loved it, brings back memories of a packed main room at thew Casino.

4 Jays "Love my love"

A slightly left-field one from me today, not to everyone's taste but it really works for me on so many levels.I once played this in an R n B room to the odd strange look from some but most were blown away by it...............

Haven't heard this before Martyn n hooked straight off .

A rare Motown outing for O.C Smith with "I betcha".

Mine is a WDJ, as are most copies I've seen. Are there many issues about ?

Not rare, but oh so good!

:hatsoff2:HI ALL Well this is not the type of record that is associated with me? and to be honest I was going to play TROY KEYES - TWISTED WHEEL CLASSIC - LOVE EXPLOSIONS? But come across this bit of soul, while up in my loft, and I got a good feeling I should of left it up there??

However a good listen to it, and you may feel the vibe I got from it, in many ways it's a fine example of quality SOUL as TO VALUE ?? is it the same as other Webs stuff? but I doubt it, I feel that this is rare as I don't no anyone with it, but that may be that most people think it's rubbish? I hope not, ENJOY :g: DAVE

Just to prove that Dave's Webs tune wasn't a fluke by them, here's one of there dancers.Big Middleton sound for Roger Banks a few years back.

Something you never hear out, and come to think of it, never did that much....

A tune I first heard many, many years ago after a mates visit to the warehouses along the East Coast of America. Brilliant.

Gene Cooper - "Go Go Inn" - Hi-Q
