sepia Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 i bought both the 7 & 12 off pete widison in the 90's. think paid £4 for each. was just a fill in till got the dells 45.which i did off pete on uk for £7. i came across the p/c for the 7 in the house 2 years ago with no record in it.must of sold 45 & kept p/c ?. dont know if withdrawn but cant see why it reached that price. Of course, most who now seek copies weren't interested in it back then. I got a couple of copies for just pence and also a 12" copy (though that mix is crap compaired to the 7" version). Garethx Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 Others may disagree with me but both The Dells and Tops version of this are pretty terrible records, whereas the Laura Lee still sounds great. She really gets inside the song, which is actually quite wistful and sad.
