Hey Kegsy I'll " thumbs up" you!!! ;-).

Once again, the annual big thank you to Dave and Bev for a weekender that runs seamlessly.

Highlights for me. Phil Dick playing "Cheatin Kind" and seducing me onto the dancefloor. And Saturday afternoon spent an hour or two in the company of Chris Lalor and Bruce Doyle. Crying with laughter at their memories of misspent youth! Priceless!!

The next twelve months are going to seem like an eternity.

Southside Movement... This was one of only 3 45s that were played twice. Great to see people picking up on 45s that we've revived over the years. From the hard driving Gospel infused sound of Lee Moses right through to stuff like Third Time Around. Not just in the same room... but in the same spots! FANTASTICO.

This was a truly awesome set. Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected to hear 3 of my top ten all time favourite tunes played one after another. Ray Agee, Cecile Washington and Gene Toones. Although you list Al Williams (also brilliant) in there, I don't remember it that way. That's what Ray Agee and Cecile must have done to me Thank you Julian for bringing these tunes to Hitsville. Musical perfection to a fantastic weekend.
