Popular Post Chalky
As an aside to the unreleased soul topic here is Butch working his magic at the 100 Club. The first one from 2001 featuring many of his one off acetates, Jean Carter, Jean Wells, Martha Jean Love and the Just Brothers. https://www.mixcloud.com/Chalkster/butch-at-the-100-club-2001/ 4 Link to comment Social source share

Chalky
Can't he post for himself, bearing in mind his membership here? If he had the tape recordings and he converted them etc then I guess he might but somehow I don't think he would be that bothered. Don't think I'll bother anymore. 1 Link to comment Social source share
Popular Post Guest
Don't think I'll bother anymore. Please do bother, Chalks! I spent the morning listening to both of those podcasts which evoked such great memories and left me with a happy grin on my face! I was sooo happy to hear that awesome NYC Soul thundering "Along Came Sadness"...I haven't heard it for over a decade so it was a special moment for me...dare I say emotional! I love listening to "live" recordings...this was the ONLY way we could hear tracks back in the day...to go along with going clubbing of course! YouTube makes it all too easy and sanitised...shame in many ways. Long live club-recordings! 4 Link to comment Social source share
