Picky
Anyone help me how much the Charles Johnson "Never Had A Love So Good" on Alston label now? Thank you in advance. Link to comment Social source share
billb
£150 - £250 for a decent copy now I guess? Over £350 10 years ago for a nice one. One of them that's not quite held its price as more have turned up. never, never, never, never, never, never get tired of hearing it, great tune. as an edit, there's a blue boot knocking about backed with Lew Kirton HITA. Thank you for your posting. Because one copy is currently over 400 pounds on an UK auction site and I am wondering if this value is realistic or not, like the famous JM auction site. Great great tune that really goes well with lew kirton... Phil Edited December 13, 2014 by garswood Link to comment Social source share
kevinsoulman
threads about this record always deflate me, i still have my little red wants book from cica 79-81 and this was on my import to buy list, must have seen a write up in black echoes or blues and soul'drifted away around that time so it never got purchased doh kev 1 Link to comment Social source share
Rich B
threads about this record always deflate me, i still have my little red wants book from cica 79-81 and this was on my import to buy list, must have seen a write up in black echoes or blues and soul'drifted away around that time so it never got purchased doh kev Amazing how often that happens - at the time it was Prince Phillip Mitchell that became my nemesis! The Charles Johnson I had came from Arcade records in Nottingham for 99p - though originally I bought it for the flip side! 2 Link to comment Social source share

Which is a great piece of soul and from a musicality perspective the better side. 2 Link to comment Social source share

billb
I know a bloke who found two copies of Charles Johnson in the "three for a quid boxes" on Oldham's Tommyfield Market. Link to comment Social source share
Peter99
On my list of favourite records and was a huge play back in the day. I used to have but but sold it with lots of other stuff. Now I've started to collect a few things again it's one I shall keep an eye out for at the right price. Peter Link to comment Social source share
