Soul Source : The beginning??

Are there any members out there who remember how and what actual date Soul Source was initially founded and by whom?

I've been a member since 2005 and still have recorded tapes of downloaded Soul records but can't remember any of the other Facilities? No sales or wants or photos could have been a chat room but not sure, I've slept a bit since then.

Perhaps some of the I.T. may like to comment?

20th anniversary coming soon wow I find that incredible going ,6 years before I found the scene and only been a member a year maybe less,what a dummy congratulations now to all concerned i love it and its members xx awesome knowledge 

20 years...jeez where does the time go.

Not sure if anyone on here knows about the "Wayback Machine". I think it is run by a US University and claims to have 286 billion webpages saved since the early days of the net.

I tried Soul Source and there is quite a lot of stuff on there. The very earliest snapshot they have is March 2000. Some formatting, images etc. gets lost - but you can't have everything!!

Click at the bottom here for the earliest Home Page they have. Several of the links seem to work. i.e. Interview with Irish Greg in the middle column, event reviews down the left etc. etc.

If anyone is interested I can explain how to get to all the stuff they have for Soul Source since 2000.

Please can somebody at least confirm that the link works for you. It does for me.

Well I apologise for trying to help.

Had you thought that people can use Wayback Machine for snapshots of other websites other than this one.

When I first saw it I went wow! Everyone else I have ever shown it to went wow!

And here I get "ffs" for my trouble.

a lot of time, effort and resources goes into keeping the articles/content from 1997 onwards in good order on here

will there be anniversary patch ?

i joined very early 2000's with a different account,but i recall going on a different soul forum around the same time,and for a short time prefering that one,however i returned to soul source and ending up starting a new account cos i couldnt remember my login details,soul source as gone on to be the only soul forum worth spending any time on. so well done on nearly 20 years!

My current account is from 2005 but I certainly around well before that with an account (possibly "deancourtney") which was also my eBay ID at the time. not a good idea I know lol.  I'm around less and less lately unfortunately.

Clarks did a shoe called 'oberon' in their Clarks originals range which they discontinued last year, They were a copy of the original polyvelts.

I bought 3 pairs although I just use them for walking when I'm on a city break holiday. They're too grippy to dance in. The Casino's floor was an exception.

its hard to really say as the member system was changed/reset  a couple of times in the early years as the system used for the site changed

you get the current list of members started aug 26 2002 -displayed by the  order of joining
