Is there a recognised shortest track played on the Northern/Rare Soul scene?? Ta!! MB Yes, Mighty Joe Drake "Try Try Try" is only 1:50, (but what a side!) I often wonder if there are longer takes of sides we know and love, lurking in a vault somewhere, and what would we make of them? When The Chi-Lites "Have You Seen Her" came out in 1971, it was considered something of a "groundbreaker", as everyone said that radio DJs would never play a single that was over 4 minutes long in those days! So what's the LONGEST Northern side ever played then? Brainstorm "Lovin' Is Really My Game"? - or is that cheating? Edited April 1, 200718 yr by mel brat
