Mark Bicknell Posted September 10, 2007 Share Posted September 10, 2007 (edited) Just turned up a beautiful record King Ernest - I Feel Alright B/W Hold It Baby - Barry DJ White Demo 1005 - Not listed in JM's book and I know it to be a rare record as I sold a copy a few years ago for a decent price, just wondering if anyone has any idea of the current value, for sure this record needs playing at the gigs, never really did anything with the copy I sold, may consider selling this one? King Ernest, apparently, is a younger version of Ernest Baker (of "Alone again" on Blue Soul fame). Hope that inflates the price. I'll get me dufflecoat. King Ernest is also the 'older' version of Ernest Baker. Had a great CD in the US and a 12" "Must Have Lost My Mind" put out over here by Grapevine only shortly before he passed away. Sean yeah, he performed as a blues artist in Chicago as King Ernest until he died, I think he had records on alligator or something (modern blues is not what I know about).
