Bruce Forsythe was also on and the suggestion from Paul was that they should get some people on to Strictly Come Dancing to do a demonstration of Northern Soul dancing!!!!

I only caught the end when I switched on to watch The Simpsons

When that happens ...then we are truly doomed ...seen the hustle....salsa .....jazz dancing watered down to suit the masses...who havnt got the imagination or inclination to personalise their dancesteps....Dance is a total expression of one's soul...and how people interpretate it...is entirely down to them...Delxxxx

Absolutely Rachel we all do our own thing when it comes to dancing, its all about expression, spontaneity and feeling about the music I shuffle a bit/dance myself , but I also love to watch other people dance too.

Charlen admitted years ago when in The band Texas that she.d always liked soul and particularly motown (the influence you can hear on"Blackeyed Boy" and "Halo").Her first solo single "All the tears i,ve cried " was also ace,i play her C.D. regularly in the car and friends often comment"it,t not bad this old soul stuff of yours" LOL!!!!! BETTER than Duffy any way or Amy(dead by xmas) Beerhouse.

i wasn't too botherd cause i liked seeing her and Paul O'Grady talk about it. it just gives the general public to wonder what they are going on about.

Why should it be a crime to talk about Northern soul on a tv show like Paul O'Grady or even to do a song that is like Northern. after all if they are influenced by it let them.

I heard Paul O'Grady say he was a Suedehead during the early 70's on his show once and that he's into Northern & Reggae. That makes him ok in my book!
