May 19, 200519 yr Not strictly northern but "What becomes of the broken hearted " just love it and allways sing To it when it comes on the radio, much to the embarassment of the wife and kids.

May 20, 200519 yr Only ever went to one Karaoke night about 10 years ago. The tracks were obviously very US based because while looking at the listings I noticed "Nobody But Me" Human Beinz and "More Today Than Yesterday" Spiral Staircase, both US hits. Fortunately I didn't get pissed enough to try, but was tempted with the Human Beinz track. Me and my mate did do "Blue Moon" with me attempting the bass bit. It sounded good to us. Paul

May 21, 200519 yr 'Youre the song I've always wanted to sing', or kill in my case, by Timmy Thomas. I'm sure my cat wailing vocal could destroy that one in an ironic way. Was once tempted by The Snake on a karaoke machine, but sobered up enough in time to do a runner before my name came up

I can bring my thin-nosed pliers with me! Seems to be enough interest on here alone to warrant the idea. Great fun. People willing to throw caution to the wind, lose their inhibitions and excercise their tonsils for the entertainment of others.
