Both Dave and Smudge have been supporting this night since I started it. After my focus on the OKEH lable last time round I am gonna move that on a bit and look at the Chicago Soul theme in a bit more detail:- i.e. Onderful, Mar-v-lus, M-Pac, Brunswick (Carl Davis), Chess, Windy City, Vee Jay, St Lawrence, Satellite etc.. and a couple by the great Curtis Mayfield etc.. So "Move on up" to Soul @ "THE CITY" (The 'windy' City, Peterborough). Link to comment

Eighteenth birthday "my arse!!" - damed near torched the place lighting up those candles on the cake Smudge!! We (Russ & I) arrive and set up from 6.45pm (its a 10/15 min job to hook up our turntables to the in-house system) and we usually have an "open deck" warm up until 8pm when doors open. So if you fancy an early beer and play a few of your own records then get down before 8pm and have a go. untill 8pm is "open decks" 8.00 - 9.00 Dave 9.00 - 9.30 Russ 9.30 - 10.00 Ray (Chicago focus spot 1) 10.00 - 11.00 Smudge 11.00 - 11.30 Ray (Chicago focus spot 2) 11.30 - 12.00 Russ 12.00 - 1.00 Ray & Russ (Double decking) 1.30(ish) car convoy to local Kebab shop!
