  1. Don't jump down my throat people - I've got to ask Do they use the original recordings in the film and not cover versions?
  2. I may be wrong, but I got the impression he was talking about the people making the film.
  3. It was covered up the first time I heard it Pete, so I didn't dislike it because of who it was by. Some people like it. Some people don't. The same as every other record that gets played.
  4. I do hope it will be a good film. I'm not feeling the least bit positive about it however.
  5. Who's offended? Yes, people have said they don't like it. Can't remember anyone saying they were offended by it though.
  6. Wow. Didn't know the film was actually finished. Wonder if they've contacted any of the extras they enlisted via this site and asked them to go along and see it? Anybody? Anyway, here's hoping it's good
  7. Just another case of rarity and price over quality imo. Still interesting though I have to say.
  8. He means the people who wouldn't believe it was a Sonny & Cher record
  9. Chalky, have you tried asking Mel? He has loads of pictures and I'm almost certain he has one of Morris Chestnut.
  10. He's usually at Burnley Paul. I'm sure someone could do the honours.
  11. OMG... I can't watch in case they get squashed! Do they get squashed?
  12. Blimey. Really want to hear this too!

Netty and Azza had Big Dee Irwin 'You Satisfy My Needs' at theirs. Not a dry eye in the house I can tell you. Oooh... not long now my dear Munchies. Going to be a fantastic day
  14. Thank God in this case!
  15. Stuart Cosgrove, the broadcaster and northern soul collector, has urged the Scottish government to intervene to prevent the rare pressing being sold to a foreign buyer. "Make no mistake about it. This is soul music's Titian moment," "A rare Titian has been saved . . . and the pressure is on the SNP to stand up for rare soul." FFS BEHAVE
  16. Yes Tricky is Trev unless I've got the wrong guy? Don't tell me there are two Tricky Trev's in Northampton? One's more than enough

To be honest I have no idea what you mean by 'the problem of new sales being pushed off the main page too quickly by bumping' because I never use the front page. Although I guess a lot of people do and when you are selling something, being on the front page would probably help. But please can people stop quoting complete sales lists just to post 'pm'd you'

Don't think they should go that far But they definitely should delete items once they are sold.
  19. I understand that Ian. Just be good to get an idea that's all. I know Trev well and will plague him for info. Thanks.
  20. That's what I meant. A selection of the kind of stuff included. Looking forward to reading your list. Have to say Rupert's suggestion would probably get a few more takers.

Yes there is that. Then again, we've all been there, not wanting to leave anything to chance. I know I have
  22. Maybe if people were to post a list of records they have received in their packs it would give members more of an idea what they would be getting for their money. £300 for 300 records does seem great value for money. But it is only great value if you are getting the kind of records you like. I am not being funny here, just saying. It would also get you more business if people knew what they would be getting.

What if sellers added the date to the thread title and amended it each day to let people know that the sales list is still active? Members would then be able to see at a glance what sales are still current and those that are not. Also changing the thread title to 'closed' or 'ended' once it's finished?

What narks me are people who quote a whole sales list of a thousand records just to say "pm'd you" or "list updated". Sellers - just remove the items you have sold from your original list. Buyers - just say "pm'd you" without quoting the whole bloody list.
