  1. Marc - actually we are agreeing BUT going back to Russ Vickers comment that people will only be upset in 10 years time if they sell as records now is rubbish and Russ knows i think that and he's hiding from me. I was only talking about this to a record dealer at a niter last nite - about this very same issue and we both said if people consider their record collection as an investment/pension then they best sell now.
  2. think you just hit the nail on the head Marc...if you can actually name most of the people thqat will be buying 45s in Europe in the future, then the future aint as good as it is now. i wouldn't disagree there will still be buyers and a scene (different though it may be) but prices will come down as there will not be as many people around 'into' it.
  3. yes, good call Joan

  15. he does it in his book claiming that he got this package from the USA and he opened it and there was FW on the Soul label....why lie??? when we all know it's crap and for that reason; I'm out.
  16. Hi Brad - if it doesn't work is there a chance of damaging the disc? Or is that a rsik any way?
  17. Marco was selling one a while back Keith - may be worth asking him
  18. quote of the year Ken PML my Mum enjoyed it
  19. well, if you are going to make a scam 45, you would at least make it listenable - this is unplayable...which leads me to think it is ok - though at a later date
  20. Personally no. I would not cover up recent 45 releases or CD tracks - as you rightly point out the artist (or family) and label/distrbutors/records shops will still make a cut. so for me 'no'.
  21. You can't take someone elses cover-up name! that's like bootlegging a cover-up errrr
  22. Nick - you are making me happy :-)
  23. This is not gospel - but Butch and Kenny Burrell whose copy went to Mick H
  24. when i read this thread i was hoping for a lot and then seeing how much it went for i thought it must be really special...but just listened and it is NOT - it 's a 'nice' 60s type record - that's it imo
