Charity Events On The Increase?
Ok, but what is a Substandard do ?? If somebody is genuinely trying to help a charity they're gonna want as many people through the door as possible and that surely means catering to the widest possible taste, which is going to be Motown, Club Classics, The Snake and all that--not that it would pique my interest, but then again playng the rarest, most exclusive music isn't going to appeal to many of the target audience is it. So long as the charity gains and the folk that attended enjoyed it can't see a problem. BUT- using a Charity banner to start another oldies night or one that fails to get any money to the charity is decidely Out Of Order

Help With Value Please. Stoned Love
The reason for the high price on the Yesteryear one is that it is the album version with the spoken intro that is currently in vogue, doesn't add a lot to it as a tune IMO, but there you have it. It's also on a MFP Supremes LP that cant be more than a fiver. Ooops, missed the bit about the demo having the spoken intro also, nonetheless so does the yesteryear and it's more desirable at the minute than the standard issue.

Sounds That Die When A Club Goes Under
This would coincide with my thoughts that from each "big" club Wheel/Torch/Wigan, as one closed and the other filled the gap there was a subtle shift in the music--hard to pin down, but I know what i mean...
