  1. Loads and loads. Not all necessarily serious collectors but record buyers none the less.
  2. When is it next on?
  3. I bought this as a new release. Nice record.
  4. Yes Mickey. It's the 3rd monthly event as it's a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Especially when it's so close to home
  5. Sunday Afternoon event in Chatham: Louie Vega Starring...XXVIII - Heaven Knows The Main Ingredient - Evening of Love The New Jersey Connection feat Cynthia Wilson - Red Light, Green Light Sheree Hicks - Experimental Michael Wycoff - Looking Up To You
  6. The Motown Trackin compilation could also do with a CD issue Mickey.
  7. RIP Cuba. Rolling Down A Mountainside is my favourite. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V_W7WhlLVM Sorry, but I can't remember how to embed a you tube clip
  8. Quite. Aside from the fact you could play Porgy & The Monarchs too I'm sure the 45 came out a few months after the LP.
  9. The first King's Hall all-nighter was Feb 97, as far as I can recall.
  10. So I read https://www.standard.co.uk/goingout/music/anderson-paak-tour-review-multitalented-star-takes-his-rightful-place-in-the-spotlight-a3516741.html
  11. I like the Anderson Paak. Good performance on Jools Holland on Friday too.
  12. Thanks for that. Some blistering records played in that clip. I hadn't realized they were on as early as 1994. I thought they started a few years later.
  13. The Soul Music Anthology CD series are very good. I've got Melba Moore, The Manhattans and Norman Connors. A Teena Marie has just come out along with Kashif. I recommend them.
  14. It sounds like a recent recording, using the Cliff Nobles riff.
  15. Good luck with it all Paul. I'm pleased to hear it seems to going well so far.
  16. Local relaxed Sunday afternoon session had some good tunes; Leo's Sunshipp - Give Me The Sunshine Roy Ayers - Can't You See Me Side Effect - Always There Gil Scott Heron - The Bottle Gwen McCrae - Keep The Fire Burning
  17. Love Is In The Air is a very similar song imo
  18. I'm no Len Barry expert but it doesn't really sound like him.
  19. Lonely For You Baby
  20. Ever Again is a great hand clapper
  21. Thanks for that. I didn't know it was on and always enjoy those kind of programmes. New Edition were just a teenage pop band but some of their solo stuff was pretty good. Especially Johnny Gill. Gamechanger from a few years back was excellent.
  22. I like The Gems
  23. Ha ha possibly. She visited Soul Brother Record shop and signed a load. Excellent CD.
  24. I didn't realize the price had gone up. You can buy a download for about £8.99. Great CD including Golden Time of Day by Kem and Happy Feelings by Ledisi
  25. Here's another one I forgot about. CD cover though
