I only pay as gift if it's someone I've bought from before. If someone without feedback or not bought from before, I pm them and say I'll add on a percentage to cover charges, just to cover myself. If a seller has a problem with that, then I'd say they're not to be trusted. But to avoid any charges, there's always the possibility of a bank transfer, but again only if dealing with reputable seller.

Surely those that have bid on this , have no intention of paying for it? I'm truely envious of those (if they do pay for it), who have more money than sense. I mean if they think they are going to get any praise for owning (what may have been a genuine sought after rariety) it, then they are mistaken. Obtained the Darrow Fletcher at the Kent records 30th anniversary bash at the 100 Club, and got Darrow to autograph the sleeve (plus the Crossover cd) . The first two I managed to buy as a result of a PPI compensation claim .

Only paid import duty once, but reading this thread had me worried. Recently bought a record for $400 (thanks to a PPI claim ) and paid $20 for registered postage. Thought to myself surely for that amount of postage the seller will declare true value of record, therefore leaving me open to a large customs/import charge. Anyway record arrived this morning, left in the bin cupboard as usual, no signature required. Parcel states postage at $16.95, but value of record as only $10. Part of me grateful for no import charge, another part left wondering what if the record was damaged, where that would have left me with a valuation of just $10?

Pete, Ref. Frank Wilson. I don't understand the not playing the UK Demo. If that's the first UK release, bearing in mind only one known US original at time of UK release, I can't see a problem with playing it in memory of Frank Wilson at the time of his passing. I think any other time, to a certain degree, could maybe agree with your thinking, but in memory of the man himself and let's be honest, the song for which he's most recognised on the (northern) soul scene, don't think people would have had too much to complain about.
