Billy Butler And The Impressions, Love Me
There's an alternative version of "Love Me" included on the "Indelible Impressions" compilation CD on Castle/Sequel from 1999 which is a different take than the 45 issued as CURTOM 1959 and CURTOM 1973. Much more Curtis-sounding vocals, but nowhere near as brilliant as the take released on the original 45.

I Believe In Miracles - Mark Capanni
All 3 of Mark Capanni's recordings are in refosoul. All are good (especially "If Life Was A Ferris Wheel" which is phenomenal). I don't quite get why people think of them - or try to make them into - soul recordings though? They've got far more in common with the west coast / AOR stuff from about the same time by J.D. Souther, Jackson Browne and especially Ned Doheny. I don't think Capanni's goal was to out-do Tyrone Davis that day inte studio when he cut those tracks!

The Majestics - I Love Her So Much It Hurts Me - Linda
The LINDA release was its first original issue from 1965. The RAMPART and WARNER BROS release are re-issues from 1969.

Titus Turner Hungry Man
As far as I know, Atlantic didn't start using red/white demos until the mid-60s. Popsike has logged 16 copies of "Hungry Man" for sale on eBay during the past 4 years. Only 3 of those were black/white demos, the remaining 13 copies were black/red issues.

The Majestics - I Love Her So Much It Hurts Me - Linda
When this tune was re-issued in 1969 by Warner Bros, that intro must've sounded horribly out of date and that's perhaps a reason why they edited it out? The Rampart 45 issue is by the way also a re-issue from 1969 that was released to promote an LP of past local hits from the LINDA/GORDO/FARO/WHITTIER/RAMPART stable of labels. The title of the LP is "Golden Treasures Volume Two: West Coast East Side Revue". The original Linda 45 release is from 1965.

Ebay Makes You Laugh
The only two records I have EVER had pulled from eBay were early Shakin' Stevens 45. They got pulled because it had been reported to eBay from "Shakin' Stevens management" that the items I was selling were unofficial release. BUT THEY WERE NOT! They were however 45s/EPs from his 1970-1980 pre-EPIC days that he for some reason apparently wants to have erased from everyone's memory. When I contacted his management about the matter they were adamant that anything by Shakin' Stevens that isn't still in print and for sale through his current record label are unofficial releases. Quite amazing really.

See post #3 in this thread. It has got all the info that you need. There are indeed at least two bootlegs of this 45. One with pale blue label and one with dark blue label.

Jimmy Raye "original"
The original should have S-002 B in the run-out groove (NOTE! it should have a B, not an A) on the "Philly Dog" side and directly opposite of the S there should be PES stamped. The copies you have are bootlegs seeing that they both have got variations of S-002 A in the runout groove.

Broadway / Dance You Out Of My Life
It is in my experience one of the absolute hardest to find 45s on Prelude and seldom turns up for sale. However, when it does it usually goes for $30-$50, but I suspect that's just down to it not being particularly well known. It was the third 7" release on Prelude and it doesn't exist on 12" as far as I know. Two great sides.

I Believe In Miracles - Mark Capanni
It had over 30 watchers within the first day of getting listed, so with or without SoulSource bumps there is obviously a lot of interest in it.

Yes, you did. That was the copy above that I sold. It got snapped up by a guy in London. I don't think that he's on this forum (have never seen his name on here).
