  1. Great, ordered all 3 - at £5 each including shipping from the US its a no brainer Love previously unreleased stuff, a great way to get quality records without breaking the bank
  2. Great stuff Dave, thanks for your work - hope to see this One of THE great records
  3. Yeah for second class!!! The bloke is worse off than originally thought
  4. Thats what a mint record is, perfect - you can't get better than perfect its against the laws of physics
  5. M+ so its better than mint?…………..
  6. All those records without sleeves and they've come from collections? Its enough to give me nightmares
  7. Like I said mate you need your ears washing out
  8. Today there is a movement in England of teens and college students who are playing some of my “records” He's about 40 years out with that one The strange world of……..
  9. If you'd been going to those same nights for the last 15 years you would have heard it every time Stu Thats why I only go once or twice a year, you mentioned on another thread about Voodoo Mademoiselle not getting played as well - same issue Sorry for straying off topic
  10. I agree with a lot of what you say Terry but you need your ears washing out re The Mighty Lovers mate - its at the very least in the top 5 records I've ever heard and quite possibly the best
  11. Absolutely none whatsoever, apart from trying to get some more money out of buyers. How can you have a demo for reissues? Its a contradiction in terms Having said that, the grapevine 2000 demos look nice I reckon
  12. Muffled, inaudible grunts…….. spot on! DJ's out there please take note
  13. Ady the answer from me is a definite yes! The other points you make are quite valid, I've said for a long time there is a massive void between the top 500 oldies DJs and the upfront DJs who will only play rare records with a hefty price tag. A lot of the Kent stuff falls into this category and should definitely be played out a lot more!
  14. I remember berets being worn for a short period when I was youth club age, Didn't they get "banned" because of IRA/paramililtary connotations? Sounds daft now, how can you ban a type of hat, but thats how I remember it. They disappeared fairly quickly round here as I remember
  15. Unbelievable, the world is full of idiots
  16. I'm glad you didn't mention my name as, obviously, I was looking as cool as…...
  17. Don't you just love articles written by someone who knows f-all about what they're writing about?
  18. 20 years ago you could have got it for £3 off Pat Brady's lists. It was in the bargain bin section which were all £5 but you could get 10 for £30. Still got the lists somewhere. More recently I got one advertised on here as M- for £30 about 5 years ago, it looked like someone had skated on it so I returned it thinking a nice condition one would come along soon……. needless to say, one hasn't
  19. I was going to post this, the backing track is so out of tune it sets my teeth on edge. Could have been a great record if it wasn't for this
  20. We've all got our own personal perspectives on these things, mine's from the point of view of a green 17 year old hearing at Wigan when I first went and for that reason the record will always have special place for me. I still like it and don't see any reason why you can't enjoy this and still be blown away by listening to Butch or Andy Dyson. Soul or not, I don't care
