  1. Brilliant. I spun it at Nuneaton niter, I loved it, the dance floor loved it !
  2. One of the few tunes I'd be bothered to buy if it came my way. Even tho I have the Carl Carlton version, brilliant record.
  3. I'll take that thanks. pm your details please
  4. seriously, you'll get a lot more if you sell individually. the EASC patches are desriabe, casino ones sell if in good nick, the rarer casino patches can fetch well over 3 figures . I sold an EASC 6th anniv for big money, a 2nd anniv for £72, a Mr M's patch for £140. I still have a Mint 'M's' which i won't sell. A lot of people like the memorabillia, i'd split them up Tony
  5. I sold mine for £38. you'd probably get more (maybe less, who knows? ). I sold the 6th anniv patch for over £70. whatever the nay sayers think, there's no denying the desirabilaty of good vintage patches. I have 3 left, which i'm still undecided whether i sell or not.
  6. good luck with your search... if you get stuck, i have the one stated above
  7. I Have the Kent (Town 119) issue for sale , the one with Dean Parish on reverse. £10
  8. i've never heard of it being bootlegged, seems we can assume it's legit. thanks for the reply
  9. How do i tell ? selling a ton of tunes, so i'd like to double check on a couple. thanks in advance
  10. very sad . I'm off to listen to a certain intro , that culminates with a rim shot that would wake an army. what a record, what a producer and what a genius. RIP Frank Wilson

  12. Gutted ! this is getting all too regular lately. what a fabulous singer this lady was, i had the pleasure of seeing her sing the big hits and more in Nottm lace market a few yrs ago, the highlight being 'Hang together' Native New Yorker is a legendary record that i never tire of. i remember a couple of yrs back there was a poll on here for your Favourite RCA release, well Native new yorker was my choice, to me it really is that good. RIP Lillian, the lady with vocals so beautiful.........

  17. yes Roburt, hence my comment "good show normally" ....... i little research goes a long way though
  18. just watched the Breakfast interview. umm, not sure who did the research, but it is set in 1968, which surely means the term 'northern soul' (mentioned more than once in the show) was'nt even heard of back then ? . the lead guy mentions 'Born a loser' and Frank Wilson ? Both of these were discovered a good few years later. good show normally, but i'll be elsewhere tonight me thinks

  22. Al Williams - I am nothing .... we hear this everywhere we go (even at Caliente last friday), but everywhere we go it gets bums off seats. it is quite the most simple recording, guitars, rhythm section and vocals to stir your soul. true brilliance put on to vinyl
  23. some top tunes there . not heard The Vibrations track for a long long time. Love the Bobby Garrett track too, perfect northern soul record
