Betty Everett - Mighty Crowded - UK President sleeve
Thanks for the replies. By first issue I meant the first issue of the president release. There's also a second press from the early 70s.

Betty Everett - Mighty Crowded - UK President sleeve
Original sleeve for the first issue of Betty Everett - Getting mighty crowded on UK President. (I don't have a scanner at hand, this is just a pic I nicked off the net) I wonder is this sleeve common? Any ideas?

Released Northern Soul Cassettes
Tape swapping and later on CD swapping got me literally 1.000's of great (unknown to me) tracks. When we did the Soul Source CD swapping circle about 15/20 years ago, that was a real highlight. Still playing many of those CDs today.

Released Northern Soul Cassettes
Beside "Essential NW Soul Collection" Goldmine/Soul Supply released at least one other tape, "This is Northern Soul". From what I remember the order of the tracklisting is a bit different to the respective CD release. https://www.discogs.com/de/Various-This-Is-Northern-Soul/release/13595038

Marice Williams.AGAIN
https://www.anorakscorner.com/PressingPlantInfo.html Matrix Of Nashville - Nashville Based at 457 Chestnut Street, next door to Southern Plasctics (later URP) at #453. this company made metal parts for the local pressing plants - their work bears the stamped in italic, "Nashville Matrix" wording, sometimes confused as saying "Nashville Mains", due to a worn out stamper.

That Nashville stamp is 100% fake. Original stamp is very faint. And smaller. And looks completely different. Original Nashville stamp here

Ady does it again New Kent Release Milton James
I used to have the reissue. Flipside was a beatiful beat ballad, Entertainers IV - My garden of eden. However it was credited to Kenard. Original has What Did You Gain on both sides, doesn't it?

How Modern is Modern?
I thought Ann Nesby must be over 20 years old by now. It isn't. It's just 19 years old. But still sounds to me as fresh as when I heard it first time back then. These days I'm not into new/current/modern soul releases at all. They just don't do it for me. I got into the soulful side of house music in the late 90s/early 2ks. Plenty of amazing tunes were released back then. Come mid 2000's I found less and less tunes to my liking. Eventually I drifted away and focused back on 60s/70s tunes. However, there's one tune from the late 90s, infact 21 years old now that still does it for me. It's just perfect:

Tangeers (Tan-geers) - who were they ?
Just a short question. Does somebody know where the name "Tangeers" comes from?
-
JM AUCTION
I guess it's pretty save to assume that only UK bidder are involved in auctions of UK 45s. Unless it's a UK only tune. Which JC isn't. I never heard of anyone outside UK collecting UK 45s.

Haven't noticed this one before. But the hand is the very same as on US Laurie sleeves. I wonder which one was first?

Record Store day 2019
You really think there will be huge demand for the instrumental? I don't. I'm fairly new to the RSD game. I understand that the Darrell Banks 45 can be ordered by german record stores too. Thought all the RSD releases are only available in the respective country?

How Bout-The Mills Brothers
anyone remember Dave McCadden's Soul Galore fanzine? I clearly remember he once reviewed a Mills Brothers record. And not in a derogative way. I forgot the title but something with "road" in it?

How Many Known Copies Of Arthur Willis?
I just played the audio clip on Manship's site to remind me of the tune and I stick to what I said almost 10 years ago (see above). Awful singer. How this attracts 5K+ bids I just can't get it. Some records are rare for an obvious reason. They're shite..............
