Having spoken to E Hollman in the 80s I understood him to no longer be with us, Eddie said "he was a hard man" I said " you mean he would fight anyone" "no came the reply he would fight everyone"

Yes Martin, not a lot left to see at D Town but you must do it, if your on Grand River you can/could see where the Thelma studio has been capped off with concrete. whish I could help more but its a very changed place even from my days of visiting go for it and good luck
  6. Lets not forget Dave, top-man
  7. Great bit of factual words put together about not only a very talented man but a beautiful man whose heart was as big as they come. Its a shame that more humans born into this world hadn't got the qualities this great man possessed. Any one who listened, danced or sang along to those tunes he created have been blessed from above as where he sits right now along side other great musicians. You gave me my life as you did to so many soul fans around the world, (how good is that) Well done Eddie its a great read. Richard I bow before you, thanks
  8. A day of smiling faces, friends of old, new friends for the future, everyone having a ball and do you know the music weren't bad either,me and Nicola loved it Thank-you so much.
  9. Can anyone help me locate a set of digital weighing platform scales on the cheap. Light enough to lift into the back of a small sized van but with a min weighing capacity of 100 Kg and mains/battery function. Its main usage is for weighing plumbers scrap copper pipe on building sites and domestic property. Thanks Gilly Northants (orig from Derby/Burton) please PM myself

What I liked about Bob was that he interviewed the real and everyday person involved in the music business that never quite made the big time, and for those people who have a deep interest in the music we love he did us proud,so thanks for that Bob.On a little more personal note I have never met Bob but used to message him about things,a few years ago I asked him a real bizzar question with good intent and thought he will never answer this crazy request but he did,he took time out for me over nothing I guess.Only hope now with utter respect for the loss that someone will not replace Bob (that will be impossible) but can continue the legacy that this great man started. Be at peace now Bob no dought your already looking out for those singers who went to heaven before yourself sir.
