  5. Many great memories. Got backstage with them around 1981/2. They were superb and humble. Signed my cover of I,ll Turn to stone. Gave it to Alan Pollard bless him many moons ago. Shake me wake me. Is for me the BEST motown tune. As the tears streamed down my face. Raw emotion. Dripping in soul. Finally I also breed German Shepherd Dogs as well. My kennel is called Mirrwood and ALL my dogs have soul names. Sadly my old male Stubbs had to be put down two weeks ago. Strange that this lovely piece should appear today.

  8. I gave it 4/5. I think if you want wear those clothes thats fine. This scene has always been a remarkable scene for friendlyness and your own expression. Think about the various takes on dancing for example. Thought both Elaine and Paul came across well. Good to see Dickie and Dave Withers. Good stuff. Gonna get the new book now.

  21. I recognise that. I started coming to Stockport in 76. We tried to get in but they barred me because I had bags on! So I took then off in the street which upset the idiots on the door as they thought I was taking the piss! I think it was an odinary night club then.
  22. Wow I did not know that!!
  23. I recall a guy selling a large box of records there one night. The odd thing being everything was on Detroit labels, most of the Palmer stuff including Al Williams, Solid Hit, GW etc etc. Amazing to see them all together in one place.

  25. Very funny. John has posted it on FB as well. Good stuff.
