Yup, recorded at Abbey Road studios I think, and only on UK 45 - and love or hate depends on your perspective ...for me, it was well known as a big club tune in the 60's, long before Slade got at it. Still got my issue, but don't know that I'd play it out...

Think the jury is split on that one, as ever...

AFAIK the "Wall of sound" group name is the only connection to Spector - a tribute/compliment perhaps? Whatever. still got my Big Bird issue as well...:-)

Agree on the Timmy Carr - I walked into the studio as Dave was playing it and it floored me - would be a floorpacker in any era from the Torch to today! And as for the Coalitions Dave had to use my copy as his hadn't arrived ...released today on Soul Junction 7". Hope your hangovers cleared Dave!

Too true - a while back I played Nolan Porter's "Oh baby" and a well known character who's been around since the Cats said "Wow! Never heard that before!" SO as has been said, one mans played-out tune is another mans recent discovery...let's dig deeper into the boxes!
