  1. Totally agree Pete - There are so many good tunes out there that you can use in a set -But some people as ive said before jsut want 15 mins of fame rather than learning a craft and including lesser priced records in a set takes a good ear and crafting the tunes together. What a brilliant box all these quoted here on this thread would make.

  13. Hi Lorraine fabulous to have a legend on here! I once worked for a record importing company in Manchester part-time - (I was only 16-17 at the time) I used to wade through thousands of US Imports looking for that elusive uptempo soul record. I remember the first time I found this RCA demo of "I cant hold on" I was in absolute heaven. It had been known on the scene for some time but to pull it out of a box of about a thousand records & put it on a quite crappy turntable and listen I just got goosebumps. I wish I was there when you recorded it! My Best wishes Steve

Brilliant replies guys Maybe number 91 was the missing link in the Universe!
  15. I dont understand why the 70s boots should go for anything more than 10 quid max - In this day & age when you can get the tune on cd or listen on youtube or even download most of them that anyone would pay a ridiculous amount for a boot unless they are a DJ who cannot afford originals but wants his 15 minutes of fame and try to fool people. Thats the only reason I can think of unless the collector is agenuine I want to collect a particular boot label like OTTP or Soul sounds etc.
