  2. Worst one for me was buying a record at approx $200 The seller said It would need to be insured and chareged me $38 for Insured signed for -quickest way. The worst bit was he put not just the price of the record on the customs form but added the postage to it so go charged customs on the $38 postage as well

  7. I agree with what has been said apart from the rarity bit* but I do think it is still in demand (even though its old hat IMO) I think if you up the offer to £300 for a EX or mint minus Its a nice round figure and you may get a taker. Hope you get one Russ * This is a strange one re rarity as many have bought copies from the states(including me) hoping it had YDYCITS on the reverse and some have been dissapointed. We dont know how many were mispressed and thats the reason the price is so fluctual on this record although the French copies are pretty static at around £300 on average.
  8. Think you will be waiting a long time then for the Paul Sindab -Russ (unless someone is desprate for cash) -I sold mine for £450 on hype and kept the French Columbia with Pic sleeve with the added bonus of "Im uptight" on it You should have bought the JM one then! Good luck - you will need it!
  9. Thanks to Eddie Hubbard who played this last year at Dundee- Got myself a copy off here for £40 Seen a couple go on ebay and recently going for quite a bit. Your right it does sound great out loud. 2 issues of this as far as I am aware one which is atlantic distributed(ATco) so they have different numbers.
  10. The 4th one is white plain label with black writing - I know this for sure because I was half responsible for it and played at 48rpm along with the Marsha gee at the same speed. How naughty was I then in those days and Broadway Sissy was going to be next but I bottled it!
  11. I got mine in a trade for a childs 3 wheel tricycle- Didnt I DeZZie Boy!

Think their was 3 Steve IL NR and Richard Searling Theres other threads about this where one includes Ian telling the story about it and says only 200 were pressed up on Chi city. Back to the old discussuion - Is it a boot or not? Answer - According to IL - permission was given to press the 200 hundred copies so is a legit release of a formerly non released track. The Pye acetates were as stated cut from the master tape. Regards Steve
  13. Always thought this as a pretty average record IMO - Just another flash in the pan irrespective of its rarity. Doesnt endear me to keep singing it in my head or the lyrics dont get my heart a flutter. Theres thousands out there at a fraction of the price that are better constructed and even the ones that are not brilliantly constructed are better than this eg Servicemen Cannot see its appeal but their again only my opinion Ill go back listening to my Loveables Toot white demo- You cant dress up a woman (cracking record)
  14. Big Maybelle - Ive got a feelin - OKeh 78 in VG to VG+ cond (Difficult to grade 78s) plays fine with the usual 78 background noise Comes in Orig OKEH sleeve Pm an offer to myself - will accept trade

  25. Thats great Paul and now should clarify to all the Bootleggers or Carver boys that there is a current method of questioning what they do and will be brought to task if reported. Warner brothers label is taking it seriously as per the removal of lots of 70s /80s tracks from You-Tube As per in previous threads even some folk on here think the Copyright law does not apply to them- Well it does and heres the evidence that they are not immunue from investigation and potential prosecution. On a note about PRS etc- Our Restaurants have had demands for payment. Its based on the Floor size as to what you pay. However if you make the music yourself you dont have to pay as you own the music- However proving you own the music is where it becomes a problem especially if you copyrigted it in another country- In our case it was Bangladesh. We paid a band to write and make a cd specifically for our restaurants but because we didnt not register the copyright here they are questioning did we own the rights to the music and therefore they still demand Payment for public broadcast. Minefield sometimes!
