  1. Fabulous footage, check this out, WVON Show from that period also featuring the Creations aka 'The Brothers of Soul' which would date this to 67/8 perhaps... gives that TV appearance a real context, other than buying the 45's this is how you would have experienced them back then... The Creations Comes in a 7.40, but dont miss Jimmy Delphs at the beginning...!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsyp3xbQPRw Strong Stuff!! Mal.c
  2. Cool, if I stay at the polar opposite of 'Trendy' I can get all those tracks I love, Cheap! second and third time around... Or not....

  5. yes its Pt 1 and 2. Studio version, never seen it on Oz, actually I never knew it existed to be honest, I'll check that out though.. Sticker on the Contours says Brooks Records, Pitt Street, which must be Sydney, Its the main shopping drag these days... Mal
  6. Hi all, just got another batch of Aussie soul 45s through the post, and I have Little Stevie Wonder - Fingertips on Aussie HMV, did this appear on HMV in the UK? Cat number is EA-4581, although I don't think that would relate to a uk press. Other Motown connected, got a copy of the Contours - Do you love me/Move Mr Man on W&G, one of only two Motown releases on the label... Prefer Mr Man side over DYLM... There is a bunch of other good 45s, I'll put a big batch up as scans some time this week... mal
  7. Yep, gets mentioned pretty much daily on here...

  11. totally agree, what a body of music he has produced.. 'If You Want My Love, Put Something Down On It' and 'You're Welcome, Stop On By', all big favorites.. Rest in Peace Bobby... Malcolm
  12. Did it make the Print edition? Mal
  13. I prefer not to buy from the bigger dealers these days unless I really have to, but I have to say Craig's set up and whole experience is always easy, always well packaged, and prompt, and pretty cheap really, he's kept his postage down to compete, and although some of the 45's he has I think are on the rich side sometimes, up to the buyer isn't it... As apposed with some of the bigger UK dealers, I just dont want to deal with them, I'm never really satisfied with allot of the transactions, there is always a catch, always something that niggles... so its easier to buy from over seas... Malcolm
  14. whats it worth this 45? I picked a good one up for a fiver last year, which I thought was pretty cheap... Mal
  15. is the DETROIT SHAKERS(OUTSIDERS) HELP ME...(LONELY MAN) COUNSEL £2 (STICKER ON A."VOCAL" WROTE ON A) this one? If so will take it, dont want the silver one.. and this one: SONS OF MOSES SOUL SYMPHONY SAGITTARIUS £2 Mal

Cant and wont go any lower than this, thats a nice price for this 45, I paid more and I know it went for allot more on Tim Browns auction. I dont really want to sell it, but other 'Wants' are beckoning... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejXPa61B-VE Kind regards, Malcolm
  17. what a cool cover on that french 45... looks the business that!!
  18. Ive seen it happen with the big ones, they dont mess about when it comes to lunch..... I used to fish at a gravel pit years back, One day I descended down a steep slope to get into a corner I'd only ever seen from across the lake, and I found beached a Jack Pike about a 30 cm long, with a perch rammed right inside its mouth, both fish still alive so I separated them and put them back. Luckiest day that Perch has ever had I reckon.. twice in the frying pan.. back in the river... No pictures though, long before camera Phones
  19. Sorry Dembo, quite a strong reply from me, but you know he lied to folk and took their money, allot of their money...! there is no excuse for that. so he was/is Black Patch Productions Inc, located at 14431 Ventura Blvd, 222 Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 And if he starts calling you 'Dear Boy' beware, he's about to pull the wool over your eyes!!! Maloclm
  20. thats very nice, I wants one....!!
  21. Had a nice spanking The Platters - I Love You 1,000 Times last year, sold it now, but it was a very beautiful thing... Mal
  22. thats fabulous, I haven't been for years, prefer Spinning for Pike, long stints waiting on Carp is fine but if you no longer smoke it kinda takes the fun out of it.. The holes, far too big for Rabbit, Fox or Badger set I'd say.. Fox has a very distinct smell, you would know, and if they have had cubs you generally find all sorts of bits outside all chewed up.. Makes me want to get out there again... really nice pics Malcolm
