  1. Love early Bowie, think "Let Me Sleep Beside You" "Karma Man" and "Sell Me a Coat" are my favorite from that Dream / Decca LP, and " Silly Boy Blue" just soars doesn't it... Ive got LP's with this stuff on but never collected the 45's.. wonder what came out in OZ>? Malcolm
  2. your obviously aware its the flip of 'Lady In Green' Carlo? original is silly money, I mean SILLY money, but its booted on a lookalike label and that 45 has far better quality on the 'Heart made of Stone' side.. than 'Lady in Green'. LIG has various other boots with different flips... Good luck dude.. Malcolm
  3. had these in the Photo's section, dont know why I put them in there, anyhow all the new Aussie Ive had through over the last few weeks... Malcolm
  4. here's four that grow from the off...just a tad more every time in the tempo.... had these put aside for a tape as they just go really well in this order.. not obvious in any way.. Lulu - Leave a Little Love Valarie & Nick - Lonley Town B. J. Thomas - I Dont Have a Mind of My Own Chris Calloway - Your Something Else and then you have to change direction with the fifth, rack it up another level from Chris Calloway....and keep it going... may I suggest 'Little Willie John - Home at Last.... ' Malcolm
  5. Great Music Pete... nearly bought a copy of the Outsiders Boot the other day, Its BIG again!!! M

My New Web Site, Nearly there..
  8. Perhaps Pete we can set up a clandestine meet with Nick, select eminent 'UK Know it all's' to attend and touch the record, take their own pictures, or a very least just cast eyes upon it... check out Nicks member page btw, big old scan on there, which even I can tell is the real deal... Remember you said Mick Smith probably shrugged his shoulders when you told him, has he changed his tune any? Malcolm
  9. Very odd, same seller has Terry Callier on Cadet/chess for sale, currently £43 quid with a day to go, get in people! But on hearing that 45, how on earth did he come out at £16k for the track were discussing? It's probably not that rare, and oh my golly it really does sound very much like that terry Callier track, that's got to be Northern soul right? Mal.C. Laughs.....just noticed Terry is in fact reflecting my comments, hands up, how the hell!!!?????
  10. Fabulous footage, check this out, WVON Show from that period also featuring the Creations aka 'The Brothers of Soul' which would date this to 67/8 perhaps... gives that TV appearance a real context, other than buying the 45's this is how you would have experienced them back then... The Creations Comes in a 7.40, but dont miss Jimmy Delphs at the beginning...!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsyp3xbQPRw Strong Stuff!! Mal.c
  11. Cool, if I stay at the polar opposite of 'Trendy' I can get all those tracks I love, Cheap! second and third time around... Or not....

  14. yes its Pt 1 and 2. Studio version, never seen it on Oz, actually I never knew it existed to be honest, I'll check that out though.. Sticker on the Contours says Brooks Records, Pitt Street, which must be Sydney, Its the main shopping drag these days... Mal
  15. Hi all, just got another batch of Aussie soul 45s through the post, and I have Little Stevie Wonder - Fingertips on Aussie HMV, did this appear on HMV in the UK? Cat number is EA-4581, although I don't think that would relate to a uk press. Other Motown connected, got a copy of the Contours - Do you love me/Move Mr Man on W&G, one of only two Motown releases on the label... Prefer Mr Man side over DYLM... There is a bunch of other good 45s, I'll put a big batch up as scans some time this week... mal
  16. Yep, gets mentioned pretty much daily on here...

  19. different subject, but is that the Lammy that is on Shift's website? Mal
  20. totally agree, what a body of music he has produced.. 'If You Want My Love, Put Something Down On It' and 'You're Welcome, Stop On By', all big favorites.. Rest in Peace Bobby... Malcolm
  21. Did it make the Print edition? Mal
  22. I prefer not to buy from the bigger dealers these days unless I really have to, but I have to say Craig's set up and whole experience is always easy, always well packaged, and prompt, and pretty cheap really, he's kept his postage down to compete, and although some of the 45's he has I think are on the rich side sometimes, up to the buyer isn't it... As apposed with some of the bigger UK dealers, I just dont want to deal with them, I'm never really satisfied with allot of the transactions, there is always a catch, always something that niggles... so its easier to buy from over seas... Malcolm
  23. whats it worth this 45? I picked a good one up for a fiver last year, which I thought was pretty cheap... Mal
