  1. Factor in Mick Smith's pints and well, you could float a small navy..
  2. Was it SWONS where he said he discovered rare soul and wanted it - as in to collect it ALL!
  3. If the current number of page views for this topic were all individuals and they all chipped in £13.96 each, it'd be ours! Or at least ten grand towards it. Viz referring to the lottery as being for the 'hopelessly optimistic', prevents me from ever owning such a disc.
  4. Lets all club together and buy it. Bagsy first fortnight?
  5. Alternate provider https://carverycuts.com/home/shop/scrimp-save/
  6. Try Mark Bicknell, he had one up for £150 a little while ago ...

  8. The Mac's is still there. 1979 it all started. 1.30 till 8am was the hey day. 1985 my first visit. 8 years longest time without missing one. Great place!

  10. And what sort of values (if any) would you declare for shipping? Wife wants the Edwin Starr..
  11. Not forgetting it was pressed on SEVENS as well.. So what is a ball park figure for an orig demo & issue?
  12. Yep I'll second that Chalkster. Been a good morning this morning and hearing the Mighty Bub (R.I.P) spin a few oldies was just the ticket!
  13. A 'Good++' you can split - starting bid 300 quid, very reasonable! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NORTHERN-SOUL-YOUNGBLOOD-SMITH-/221227724220?pt=UK_Records&hash=item3382332dbc
  14. Nah your one is a real one by the sounds of things mate. Was booted on 'Sevens' also. Good luck with the sale, top tune!

    Wonderful record, requested and played by Butch on Saturday. Think Shifty still has a copy.
  17. Bedford gives me the fear on a Saturday night. Buzzard was okay though in the 80's.
  18. Yet to be mentioned and imo, best track by the group - 'All your lovin's gone to my head'. Massive at the Fleet in 85. I bought my copy then from Dave Evison. Also available on UK.
  19. Lazy ill placed plagiarism is what it is Brian. They even nicked the spot lit dancer scene from the Duffy video. There is zero soul content to the music in this video. This is why the topic starter refrained from any involvement. Therefore the use of northern soul types as dancers in this video is false advertising in that anyone would dance like that, to music like that. Polishing a turd is what they're doing imo. If none of this is uncomfortable for you, or like minded posters, that is fine. However this is a discussion forum, so discuss we will and whatever thoughts anyone has on the subject,is their right.
  20. Redneck noise! Why would he attempt to align this dross with an NS spin? Billion miles even from blue eyed soul and matey 'feeling' the lyrics like it's Sam Dees!
  21. 'Forever In My Heart' - Excellent track!
