I sold a chunk of mine and bought a narrow boat thinking ‘I’d had my fill’ and wanted something else to do. Then I had to sell a chunk more to repair the bloody thing! Two of the worst decisions ever. If there is any advice to be taken from this tread, NEVER BUY A BOAT 🚤 N.B. I listed it on here to sell maybe a year ago, in the “non soul stuff forum”. It’s gone now, thankfully!

Hi Rhianna, We don't run nights anymore, but we've got a weekender in Oct - HOME | Home Run Soul Club - Soul Night Manchester which gets a real mix of ages but mostly 30-60 years of age. The residents are 30-40years old so I guess the cliental (like most events, now I think about it) reflects the age group of the hosts/organisers but we do get students and folk in their twenties. We had Jordan play our first event a few years back. Jordon's event is worth a look for sure and that'll satisfy the itch to dance! Another Manchester event is Fish ain't bitin at the Smithfield (last Sunday of the month... so this weekend in fact)which is really nice and friendly! Its a day event. No dancing. More of a social exercise befitting of a Sunday afternoon, but I think it's worth a look. Easily communicable from Sheffield. I think there is a soul event at Sheffield (Kelham Island) called Everyday People on Sunday 1st June. Brett Franklin run's it and it pops up ad hoc across the year. Good luck!!
