  1. Ian you are contributing more of the crap waffle with your stirring. All that was asked was to see a scan, I for one haven't seen an issue before and was interested in seeing it. I had no intention of buying the record, simply wanted to see the scan. Like Pete says when something so elusive is offered cheap, which it is IMO, with no scan from someone using a pseudonym what do you expect from people, you've done exactly the same in the past with ebay. Glad it is sold but hopefully Paul (who is straight up and honest btw) will post a scan for the benefit of those who have never seen an issue.
  2. Think it was Greg Tormo who was telling how he or someone he knew went round picking these up off the floor at the convention or whatever it was where they were given out free, no one seemed to want them and simply threw them away.
  3. Not really mate, you win some you lose some. It wasn't that well known then and as most on the label were pretty commonish I assumed (wrongly) plenty more would come along as it got better known
  4. Pete Lawson once offered me Tina Roberts One Way for £60...declined as I'd just bought Billy Webster which had long long since been uncovered Also declined a Forston and Scott Sweet Lover for around about the same price and a Jimmy Bo Horne for a ton thinking plenty would come along....d'oh
  5. I reckon I define the word "character"differently to most Some of these posts seem like a list of mates and not the "characters" who I thought you were referring to. Plenty had an influence on me but not all what I would describe as a character. Characters to me are people like Pete Lawson, Gaz Kellett, Phil Worrell, Tommo, Woody etc etc.
  6. Photo here

I think that just covered the venue names Byrney, might be wrong. Once get Stuarts time line, we can add to it etc decide on the final time line and set the topics up and gather the ramblings of the reprobates involved at the time I was going to do a DJ/promoter/provider of records of the week along with label and artist so can tie that in with the 80's DJ's, get the stories and records they played. Anyone who then wishes to have a go at the book will have a handy reference guide.
  16. there is the option of going on somebody's profile page and leaving a comment/feedback.

Nice one Stuart. We can utilise your timeline with others. Plenty on here that look interested in the project and could and can contribute. Dave T is on here for the Stafford era, Alan and Steve Walls and others can cover the Scottish influence, the rest everything in-between and whats already mentioned.
  18. I know you said you specifically want card board Chris but on a similar line if simply for storage Really Use Full boxes do one for records..I've have some and they are great, do not get damaged like cardboard and offer better protection to the vinyl inside. https://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/uk/html/onlineshop/rub/b09_0litreXL.php you get more than 100 in as well. there is a 200 box but no divider which is a shame.... https://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/uk/html/onlineshop/rub/b18_0litreXL.php
  19. there's deffo a wordpress plugin. Pete with IWeb, when you look at it, down the right there is access for your files on your PC, itunes is there, find your mp3 file and simply drag it across to the web page you are doing. Use the blank page, your young un could do it it is that easy. I did reduce the size of the files due to previous site taking too long to load, I will put up bigger files this weekend.

  23. isn't one of those selling the copies something to do with the Out A Site publishers? Has the other got his copies to actually sell yet? Does it really matter if you get a copy a couple of days later than you thought?

Stuart, what was the timeline etc you came up with? Maybe I can start some topics on each and the info and memories can be gathered in the topics. Then if someone wishes to take on the project there should be plenty to go at? Me, I have trouble remembering breakfast at times
