  1. What's happening with the rest of the world ? Are they adopting a wait and see approach as to how well (or not) the film does in the UK before deciding what to do with oveseas markets ?
  2. No, not a bootleg. In fact Surrey was part of Randy Wood's Mirwood / Mira set up. https://www.bsnpubs.com/veejay/mira.html
  3. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RINGLEADERS-BABY-WHAT-HAS-HAPPENED-TO-OUR-LOVE-LET-039-S-START-OVER-M-PAC-7232-/331319854059?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=IynSCx6oTsMqaci9cEPGK4tH%252FEE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Does this Ringleaders look legitimate ? Aside from the Outtasight reissue, has it been booted ?
  4. Was wondering the same thing Dave. I've written to the producers regarding co-ordinating something down under but had no response whatsoever. Perhaps they are taking a wait and see approach to the demand and reaction in the UK before deciding how best to market the film overseas.
  5. 7" original issue please. Not the CSP second issue. Many thanks!
  6. "Your Love Grows More Precious Everyday" unreleased ? Wasn't it the flip to "Loser" ?
  7. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/380987045085?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 US $1,224.50
  8. Even the all time northern classics are "new" to an 18 year old just discovering soul music or who is frustrated by what is offered to them by the popular mainstream ... a weekly allnighter could very easily sustain itself with an artful mix of all time classics, RnB , modern (70s) , latin, funky tunes, contemporary releases and the few new discoveries that are still turning up. It would need skilful DJs with record collections that can cover all the above bases and who have a completely open minded approach to the broad church that is rare soul music . The target crowd for such a weekly event wouldn't be the "elders" on the scene who have already made up their minds either that the scene has nothing new to offer or still wouldn't go to a weekly event if a tsunami of new music was still being discovered. One suspects Ady is thinking this way by the very fact that he is bringing in other trusted people to offer a fresh perspective.
  9. You know you can do it. The potential of it all is tantalising to say the least.
  10. Exactly. There are many more reasons why it could work than not. No other nighter/venue/geographic location is better placed than the 100 Club to go weekly and appeal to the 18-39 demographic and capitalise on the interest that the film is about to generate. And the fact that the 100 Club is a "(night)club" in the nation's capital will always make it more alluring to a younger element than an old ballroom or men's club in a remote town or location. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course as that is the foundation on which the scene has operated so well for so long. But we are talking about a new approach here. And while it is well established that many of the "seniors" on the scene at present wouldn't be inclined to attend a weekly event, you can be almost certain that a younger crowd would ... for all the same reasons that those on the scene back in the day would go every week. Ady is obviously a promoter who thinks "outside the square" and he has shown recently that he is prepared to get people like Matt involved in his operation to offer a fresh perspective on things. And with a little marketing and promotion outside of the existing scene, a weekly 100 Club Allnighter could very easily become the vanguard venue for the scene in much the same way that the Wheel/Torch/Wigan were in their time.
  11. The version
  12. Wouldn't it be great if the 100 Club became a weekly allnighter ?
  13. Isn't the more interesting question : would the Casino have even got off the ground if the Torch hadn't closed ?
  14. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/380975870939?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 In only G+ condition and it reached $5,199.00. Interesting to see what one in Mint minus condition might fetch.
  15. "The Apollas — You’re absolutely right / Lock me in your heart — Loma 2019 DJ Copy Beautiful demo copy of this Detroit northern dancer, still underplayed after all those years. Visual Grade: Strong VG+ £50" Didn't know the Apollas recordings had any connection whatsoever with the city of Detroit ?
  16. Need the blue original 7" please, not the yellow second issue. Thanks.
  17. We had a thread on this around 5 years back but it was never answered. His 7" single release on Bernard " You Really Got A Hold On Me" states that it is from the LP "Introducing Emanuel Taylor - Album Number 01178". Is this another case of a single release referring to an LP that never did get released?
  18. Wanted : 10 GBP (or less !) please. Postage to OZ : 5 GBP (or less!) Paypal as gift. Many thanks !
