Four Tops And Temptations Tour
Ronnie McNeir wasn't singing lead when we saw them a couple of years ago in Amsterdam. He did sing lead on "Just Ask The Lonely" and sounded fantastic. See where you're coming from re the "tribute band" stuff tho Chalky and to be honest we only went after being given free tickets. A very proffesional tight show with an excellant band and some wonderful talented performers in both bands. Ron Tyson taking Eddie Kendricks role in the Temps was especially good. Cheers Paul

Elton John/danny Baker
Remember chatting with the owner of "Downstairs Records" in NYC who told me Elton John played piano on Eddie Holmans "This Wil Be A Night To Remember" at Sigma Sound. He knew this because he happened to be in the studio at the time. Cheers Paul

Gil Scott-Heron - The Bottle
I think there was a Stata East 45 and bought one as a new release from Record Corner. Believe it was later bootlegged tho. The 45 was an edit of the LP track missing some of the intro and fading out French and Belgian 45s were later I believe (78?) but the Belgian one is the full version (less the "drunken" intro).............both have "daft" picture sleeves Cheers Paul
