Good Time Charlie - Info Wanted - Break Out 103
Finewine plays both of these, not as crazy about the Jimmy Forrest one, there's a few copies of the Breakthrough one around, the flip is just as good, I have a minter and know where 3-4 more copies are in collections.

John Ellison (Soul Brothers Six) performing Live - 6 Dates 2013
Really happy that you guys back home will get to see John, a ton of Dig Deeper regulars told us en masse last month that he was simply one of the best singers we've ever been proud to put on stage, certainly blew both Honky and myself away from start to finish, not just the Lyndell 45 but several songs amazingly he'd never sung live before, and can promise when it gets to "I'll be loving you" there won't be a dry eye in the house, look forward to reading the posts after the shows

Dee Dee Warwick, Worth Every Tear On E Bay
Clearly not time to change it's title to "Worth every penny"!

Wtf How Much ?
Hahahahaha uk300 for Hal Blaine!! That's the instro we've used for the live act coming on stage at every Dig Deeper for 5 years. It came out on Dunhill as "Beverley Drive" and sometimes sells for as much as, ooh, $20 at record fairs here. Uk300 isn't taking the piss, it's distilling it and calling it champagne, that site's always comedy reading in between sadly hobbling by on hawking "2nd issues".

Keb Darge Set, 100 Club, 11-5-86
Is the One way love 45 the "other" Hank Hodge there Pete?
-
Englewood; A Really Funky Place ?
If we could go back in time to see Trude Heller's club back then Roburt know both of us at Dig Deeper would pick the night we have an old ad for when our favourite singer Tommy Dent played there, dream on... Plus obvious connection between her and All Platinum is Sylvia Robinson had an early 45 on TruGloTown 108.

Come to Dig Deeper in July Chris and you'll hear him sing both sides live for the first time EVER!
-
Bobby Blues Ray - Soul Parts 1&2
I wrote that as, at the time, all 3 copies on Sac-Soul that knew of were very hissy sounding so was happy when first copy on Ross showed up and got it home to find played clean, glad to find later it's not the case with all of them

Strangest Cover Up Names Or Titles
Haha James Breezy Poncho was my idiot one for James Lynn Marsh on Rainbow, felt bad when someone listed the c/u name in the wants section!
-
Ronnie Whitehead Discography
Out of breath is such a belter, the promo with Begging you is everywhere but the issue with this on is deceptively hard to find

https://www.ebay.com/itm/300909131332?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Anyone know if the flip of this is a different recording to the one by the Naturals on the same label, both have the same song titles on both sides, suspect is just the same 45 put out with a different group name? (although one diff may be the Naturals is on coloured vinyl and there's no mention of that on the WG auction)

King George On Midtown
Have both of his on REV, had the Midtown too but no point keeping it as was an identical recording and the REV one looks so much better, the other one on REV, "Shing-a-ling Baby" is even better than "I'm through", esp Part 2 on the flip, the names of his backing bands on these are great, the Mischief Lads and the Timps
-
Eddie Silvers & Constellation - Funky Fun In The Ghetto (Djo)
May help you to list the flip too as a want as it's by a different group....

White Cliff(S) Label From New Orleans
221 - Emile Guess - What Did You Say To Her / At A Glance Had a friend over last night who pulled this out of a box and asked to hear it, wow had forgotten how good this is, real blue-eyed gem, none on popsike or on any thread here except this one so may not be too well known, recommended

Two Plus Two. I'm Sure/look Around On Velgo
Greg had it first by a long shot, full credit to him for that, if remember rightly he then was the 2nd highest bidder on the second ever copy when that popped up on ebay, he actually wanted to buy it to resell at a mark-up to Butch...but Butch saw the auction and beat him out to win it directly!
-
Gene Woodbury "that's Not Half Bad" Del-Val
Big fan of the flip on this one!
-
Goodtime Charlie - Tough Competition / Let Me Love You - Break Out
Very tough record, yes both sides are great
-
Singers Who Mention There Own Name In Their Song
James Lynn Mash on Rainbow Rhon Silva on Uptight (pre being rereleased as the Soul President on Big Mack)
-
Rufus Lumley Minneapolis Minnesota
Can't find any (newly) single women to date your way then Pete, just like the ending of Wedding Crashers when they moved onto funerals...
-
Ida Sands - Start All Over Again - How Big
Lovely clean copy here if you still need one Matt, $75 + $12 post from NYC
-
Garnet Mimms - As Long As I Have You
Was going to tell you the same Greg, French ep is v tough, even Damien has only had it twice over all these years, personally I'd say get both versions, the live one with the Senate sounds great out, if we ever have him on at DD this is top of the list for him to belt out for sure, he turns 80 this year but still singing
-
Sam & Dave - Alston
Great 45, a couple of us over here in NYC give it spins, hope you get yourself one Russ
