  9. As a "mature student" in the "art" of collecting strictly Detroit produced 45's, which in itself apart from the obvious, sometimes proves to be a bit of a "minefield".....particularly with regard to the labels outside of the Motor City, containing Detroit produced material within their portfolio! Now whilst I'd love to have such total knowledge, sometimes even written material throws up some anomalies, and furthermore adds to confusing me somewhat? I have over the years picked up several items believing them to be produced in Detroit but have been proved to be a bit off the mark so to speak! I therefore having been going through my collection slowly, have the following such anomalies I'd really like to address, so if anyone could be so kind as to reiterate their production whereabouts, I'd be very grateful Here's a few for starters, and whilst I have sought advice on some of them them would respectfully seek second opinions! Masqueraders-How big is big-Bell Luther Ingram-Run for your life-Hurdy-Gurdy Roger Hatcher-Sweetest girl in the world-Excello We the people-Making my daydream real-Lion Thanks in anticipation Kind Regards wilxy.....
  10. R.I.P Liz Lands....
  11. Little Roger Hatcher mis-press on Ten-High, AKA Hank Johnson-Lost Love......missed a copy last week, but one "found its way home" at a snip today, and I'm absolutely delighted....Oh yes
  12. Great news Ady, and furthermore much gratitude for your continuous efforts in un-earthing these gems. TBH the longevity in my personal interest in this great musical adventure will continue unabated, whilst such superb material gets its just recognition in whichever format! I excitedly look forward to this and furthermore future releases of similar ilk.... Kind Regards Mike Wilks
  13. Didn't realise RT 116 was scarce as that on issue, having said that, the popsike scan is the first time I'd seen a copy! (mine's a WD) I must add that I love this legendary label, and it is one of the few Detroit labels I've managed to complete quite reasonably cost wise, albeit a mixed bag of issues and white demo's. Regards wilxy
  14. I'm drooling in anticipation over this little platter!
  15. Always great to hear "new on the ear stuff" and whilst I actually have the Adorables 45, am ashamed to say that it hasn't recieved the airtime that it warrants (particularly from a personal perspective), and also look forward to hearing the Jobette unreleased track in due course Kind Regards wilxy

  22. Thanks for that Rob, alas I'm looking for specifics in relation To JW in this instance, however I'd be interested in elaboration with regard to your quote regarding the labels you mention with respect to Detroit based production.
