Your All Time Favourite Rca Release ?
A tough call, as the label output contained so many great favourites, but would agree with an earlier post with reference to the Pied Piper productions.....due to Detroit bias on my own part I might add.......

Good shout Rob.....as per usual:yes:- M-S
I'll be totally honest, in my "blissfull ignorance", I'd have dismissed most of this labels repertoire other than 5 of the first 6 releases, but until now haven't heard the majority of them, and I must say the Lonette/ Blue Jeans item in particular is now a must have as is the Jason steel! Good work fellas:hatsoff2:- A Cameo Appearance
Perhaps a few more label "owners" will take note....."so to speak"- Cellar Full Of Motown Volume 4
Whilst appreciating the compilations release, it would be even more satisfying to be dripfed the obvious wealth of "vault" material on a more regular basis, than the repackaged, repackaged, repackaged.....etc.- ** Patti Young - Head & Shoulders (Ernstrat) **
Great record ,and one which I'm certain that I've only seen once whilst perusing vinyl for sale, which I'm sure was at Burnley about eighteen months ago, alas I was shy of the asking price somewhat, and regrettably vinyl of this ilk remains very difficult to obtain:yes:- Best U.s. Northern Soul Related Record Label
Albeit primarily a Detroit collector, and I totally empathise with earlier choices of Ric-Tic/Golden World, and latterly the Carla/Karen stable etc.(and not ignoring the Motown portfolio) I would totally concur with the Mirwood choice for its consistency with regard to the initial Thread Heading! best, wilxy- Pied Piper Production Company
Very nice Too- Pied Piper Production Company
Talk about "carrot and big stick":D- Pied Piper Production Company
I agree Kevin, I have always been both fascinated and somewhat mystified that the Pied Piper productions were never "catalogued" as such, (to my knowledge anyway! )I appreciate that Ady has thankfully included several unreleased gems on the two RCA (rare collectable and soulful) Kent compilations, and with regard to the "lost recordings" I agree with the sentiment of what could have been, considering the quality of the majority of output by the Pied Piper Team....I just hope that in due course....(as Flynny has mentioned) that a further opportunity to listen to more unreleased masterpieces of similar ilk is maybe possible?......wilxy- Coaches To Allnighters
To be honest Russ, I used to travel regularly in the 70's by coach, which was all part and parcel of a regular adventure! Nowadays the logistics and costs could possibly deter such similar excursions on a regular basis, however to re-create the "craic" every now and then from a personal perspective in a similar manner would be a very attractive proposition:yes:- Mikki Farrow-Set My Heart At Ease-Karate
Sorted now thanx:thumbsup: - A Few Wants
